Spielberg Favors Blu-ray over HD-DVD

Paramount Home Entertainment will issue new releases day and date as well as catalog titles exclusively on HD DVD. Today’s announcement does not include films directed by Steven Spielberg as his films are not exclusive to either format.
How do you like THEM apples? Spielberg wouldn’t let them take his films to HD-DVD because he’s all about Blu-ray Disc. So what do Paramount and DreamWorks do? They bury that news as the last bit of information in their press release. Greedy little bastards. Hey… Moneysoft talks apparently.

Now that Spielberg is onboard with Blu-ray the HD wars are over.

>Now that Spielberg is onboard with Blu-ray the HD >wars are over.
I agree. We should post no more articles about Blu-ray or HD because its obvious that Blu-ray has so completely and utterly victorious, even though most people still have normal DVDs.
My god the SDF are retarded.
I love how you try to gloss over how due to Paramount and Dreamworks, HDDVD now has more studio support than bluray. MORE. As in a greater amount than.
Tide is turning, fanboys. make sure the undertow doens’t get you.
Sheesh, please tell me this site is all joke news… It’s so ludicrous.
Allow me to rebutt your statements with your own statements…
“Today’s announcement does not include films directed by Steven Spielberg as his films are not exclusive to either format.”
Just to clarify, “not exclusive to either format” does not mean “favours Blu-Ray”, it means “favours neither”.
Thank you SDF for today’s joke. I’ve put you right next to Dilbert on my Google homepage.
I was going to write exactly what Karachi King says above. Something you write as fact on one line is immediately contradicted on the next.
Maybe you should change your about screen to have your ages on. You might get away with being ‘cute’ rather than idiots.
faggots he will be on both!!
Ok, this article is pointless. Spielberg does not favor Blue-Ray, he doesnt favor HD DVD. He wants his movies out on both formats because they want the consumer to decide which format is better. The format war is not even close to over now that Paramount and Dreamworks are HD DVD exclusives. Personally, I dont care for either format because I think downloadable media is the future of home entertainment. I think both of these formats are going to go under and I think Microsoft was smart too not include a HD DVD drive in the xbox 360 because when both HD DVD and Blue Ray fail, the PS3 is going to be stuck with an expensive piece of internal hardware that it doesnt need and no one wants. We all remember the PSP and its UMD player… What a joke that was. Looks like Sony is not learning from its mistakes.
Erm sorry what? Speilberg want to remain impartial. You said it yourselves. He wants his movies reaching more people and so is using both formats. He hasnt chosen Blu-Ray. You are just upset that you shelled out way to much for a console you barely use because there are no decent games. And i doubt any of you have ever watched a blu-ray dvd. My advice; dont get your hopes up fanboys!!!
Speilberg’s movies come out on both formats…he started Dreamworks by the way, and their movies come out on both.
