Warhawk out now on PSN and retail shelves!

Warhawk

Yahoo! UK
“It feels good, it feels right. It’s as close to a massively multiplayer virtual warzone as we’ve ever seen on console and you can’t help but be impressed by the scale of what’s going on around you.”

PSM3
“It’s a masterpiece of balance, of design, and the Jewel in Sony’s online crown. If you’re looking for a multi-player game to justify PS3′s online potential – or just crave honest fun – look no further.”

1up
“[Warhawk] provides dozens — perhaps even hundreds — of hours of frantic, addictive, online-shooter fun. That’s more than a lot of games offer.”

Dedicated servers, friends lists, clan support, HDD support, non-proprietary headset support, the only real online shooter this Christmas with infinite replay value… Looks like yet another killer app for the Playstation 3.

  1. XBOX p0wnd! Features like “friends lists” and clans can’t be done without the awesome power of CELL and Blu-ray.

    In your face MicroSucks!

  2. Since when was Yahoo!UK a credible reviewer?

Notice how they just quoted parts of the reviews and didnt put the actual scores.

It only has a 81/100 on metacritic, that doesnt qualify it for “kill-app” status

  3. Halo 3 says hi and laughs at you. And hey, Bungie managed to get a single player mode for your 60 bucks.

sony just give up with making first person shooters nothing compares to halo or gears of war.i bet there will be 10x more people playing halo 3 as warhawk.

  5. I’m imagining the look on the purchaser’s face as they get to the store and find out that Warhawk is ‘online only,’ and I have to say that it’s pretty darn funny.

  6. It’s good to see a PS3 exclusive game with decent multiplayer finally hitting the platform; the inclusion of a headset too might finally elevate VOIP on the PS3 to a reasonable level of use, seeing as a vast proportion of the user base isn’t going to have a clue how to buy a compatible headset, pair it with their PS3 and start using it.

  7. “Looks like yet another killer app for the Playstation 3.”

    1. Its not a killer app.

    2. Even if it was, what others would there be? Well we’d have… oh wait, thats the whole list. Theres no list you say? You’re right.

  8. It’s funny when the Sony Fanboys post topics about how excited they are about the upcoming titles coming out and how much they will be using their PS3. The list usually consists of

    1. Heavenly Sword- oh, how MS must have paid off all those reviewers to give it 7′s ;)

    2. Warhawk- can’t knock it too much, after the lull in games for the PS3 I would probably buy it too if all I owned was a PS3, and make it out to be much better than what it is

    3. Lair- the fanboys are a nervous wreck with the early reviews this supposedly AAA title has been getting (Sony letting you mindless drones down yet again)

    4. PSN Home- Sorry, I have real life friends to hang out with.

All I can say is, MGS4 and FF XIII better be GOTY type games and better stay as full exclusive titles (yet I feel they will be timed exclusives because the software sales of PS3 are disasterous)if the PS3 wants to survive.

    What was the other one?

for £19.99 i think warhawk is a very good deal plus it offers more than just first-person shooting it also has excellent vehicular combat and air combat and it whoops the shit out of gears (maybe not halo but definetley gears)

this game alone makes psn better than that thing the xbots call xbox live. no xbox live game can even hope to compare to such a masterpiece as warhawk
