Capcom will unveil both Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet 2 for PS3 at the Tokyo Game Show 2007.Previously these games were XBox 360 exclusive and 30FPS. Now that they’re coming to PS3 expect a nice bump in framerate to 60FPS and if Capcom aren’t too lazy to harness the power of CELL + RSX then 1080p could be on the cards too.
Word is leaking from Capcom today that Dead Rising 2 could be making a brief appearance at TGS later this month.
No word on whether or not this will be on the show floor, or behind closed doors but we’ll be sure to bring you more information on the title as and when we get it. Other information is coming forward claiming that Dead Rising 2 will not in fact be a 360 exclusive like the first title was and may be coming to PS3 as well.

seeing as you have no source and I couldnt find anything else about it Im am going to have to say that this is completely false. If it was true, you wouldnt be the only people reporting it.

First of all, the mention about Lost Planet was speculation. Second of all, sources about DR2 suggest the developer is in talks with Capcom about making it, that nothing has been comfirmed for Xbox360, let alone PS3. Also, who cares if DR2 is coming to PS3, because I know I personally don’t give a hoot. I have a 360, and I owned the original, but its certainly not going to sell PS3′s off the shelf. It was a decent game but it expired quickly. If you think that getting either/both of those games is going to make up for the fact that PS lost the exclusivity for Devil May Cry, Ace Combat, Katamari Damacy, GTAIV (The time release) and even Assassin’s Creed. The problem is, is that Sony (much like this website) thinks itself above the everyone else, that the developers should beg Sony to allow them to make games, but the truth is that the PS3 isnt moving consoles, not even in Japan, and the PS3 needs to learn that they better be prepared to do some seriously knob slobbing for these developers, because Microsoft is bending backwards to sell hardware and software, and it shows.

The Wii is kicking ass, but Microsoft is still in there. Where’s PS3? Too busy blowing lines of Japanese coke out of hooker’s crack. Doesn’t look like they’re showing up to contend.

PROTIP: In order for a console to “lose” an exclusive, that game actually has to be published for another console. You’re talking about sequels.

At no point in my original post was this information stated as fact. It’s all rumor, speculation and industry whispers. Nothing has been announced by either party. You have totally twisted the post out of all recognition in order to provoke a fanboy flame war. The internet is hoaching with them already and using tactics like that is just laughable.

Yes, we are a new website and probably not seen as a ‘reputable’ source as you say. We are however trying to make a name for ourselves as a trusted source though. Hopefully our reporting on this particular subject goes some way to showing that.

60 fps? You mean the speed that Madden plays on the 360? Gotchya. I really doubt this article, simply because Capcom has made it pretty obvious that they are a larger supporter of the 360 (hence the Lost Planet and Dead Rising excusive and the fact they are bringing Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5 to the xbox for the first time.) It’s possible that some of these exclsuives maybe coming to the PS3, butI doubt it untill it increases its install base… (Which it really hasnt… What, 4 million consoles? 3rd place in the console war?) Maybe Capcom should release new games for the PS2 and ditch the PS3 altogether. Thats what I would do.

So what if DR2 and LP2 comes to the PS3? Without the prequals they would never even come to the 360/PC and there for even more less to the PS3 so who cares. Now IF the games come AT ALL and it’s multiplatform I can just say too bad that you never lived the first game which often is the better one imo (few exceptions though).

Lost Planet is crap anyway. Enjoy it if you get it because 360 owners can’t stand it.
