You know Sony loyalists are really grasping at straws when all they have to talk about are sales figures in Japan (when they live in America). As hlj commented above, when talking Japan sales figures it would be nice to show some Nintendo systems, but then that would kill your “story” completely. Nintendo is crushing Sony in Japan and Nintendo and Microsoft are abusing Sony in the States. I know, I know, wait till 08, the PS3 is “an invesment that will pay off in time”, etc, etc. I so hope MS tears it up in 08 as well, so we can hear all you Sony tools say some corny ass shit like wait till 09 or bring up your conspiracy theories. Admit you guys were lied to from day one and Sony raped you without a rubber, lube, or a thank you at the end of the day. Your all like a bunch of abused house wives that stay and continue to get abused. At this point you deserve what Sony is doing to all of you.

Obviously this chart was edited or changed in someway to make Sony look better because there are no Nintendo sales figures. Cant this site for once just post actual facts/data without the unecessary fanboy spin? We know the 360 sales suck in Japan, just like the regular xbox sales sucked in Japan. What a surprise. The console known for FPS is not doing well in Japan which loves only RPG’s. Why dont you post the charts about how the 360 has been outselling the PS3 in North American and Europe for the past 6 months or so….. If you want to defend your weak ass PS3, then start by providing unbiased information and leave the media spin to Sony. They have lots of practice with that.

It’s also very funny how if you compare the sales of the 360 in just American and compare it to sales figures of the PS3 everywhere in the world combined–the 360 stills wins…by a lot.
I really doubt that microsoft cares what happens in japan. Japan doesnt really make a difference. Hell, the japanese gave mobile suit gundam: crossfire a good review and over here it is considered one of the worst games out.
Now I’m not trying to defend Sony or this humorus site, but things you guys DO need to consider for REAL arguments…
The 360 has been out a year longer than the PS3. While weekly sales (worldwide) have the PS3 in last place, it is close behind the 360. The 360 has sold about 10.5 million units, while the PS3 has sold just under 5.0 million. Half as much in about half the time.
Meanwhile, the Wii has sold over 10.6 million in less than a year, and sales have been restricted by retailer’s stockpiling the system, making it hard to buy.
You can’t compare the PS3 to the 360 and say it’s doing bad. It’s still early in its cycle. Using that logic, the Wii makes the 360 look bad as well.

there is only one thing John Q Customer cares about, price. Cost to make a BD player is high that HD-DVD, so therefore HD-DVD is cheaper, so therefore HD-DVD will outsell BD

I really have trouble seeing the 2:1 ratio, all the gamers I know have 360s, there are two non-gamers that have ps3s and thats all I know. Which is sad really seeing as how both of them got them to play sports games that run better on the 360.

XBOX has NEVER sold well in Japan, where is the news in that? Meanwhile, even Sony is not numero uno in their own home region. That distinction belongs to Nintendo.
Now if you care to look at any other part of the world since Japan only accounts for about 120 million people out of, oh, about 4.6 billion people total, you’d see that Sony is in last place everywhere BUT Japan.
And I didn’t have to distort any statistics to make that point either.

The loss of japanese console sales has obviously spelled certain doom for the Xbox 360.
