Games are about fun, not texture resolution and lighting quality.
I have fun playing Halo, therefore, I will buy Halo 3. To make it any more complicated than that is to completely dilute the whole point of gaming.

You should note that this site is a complete joke, it’s not serious. Most, if not all of the Xbox fans (Myself included) you see here getting mad at the authors are just “playing along”, as it were.

Thats great and all, you know, next summer when some of this stuff may happen. (Dont hold your breath for the dual shock by the way, good luck getting the retarded six axis technology to work with a vibrating controller.) And even if Kill Zone 2 looks better than HALO 3 (Despite the fact that the games are 2 completely different art styles), graphics are meaningless unless you have qaulity gameplay to back it up. Thats why XBox exlcusive games like Gears of War and Bioshock have better reviews than anything on the PS3, because they look great AND play great! If the gameplay in Kill Zone 1 is any indication of Guerillas ability, you might as well just call Kill Zone 2…. LAIR 2……. lol

Killzone 2 has decent graphics compared to what Sony showed at E3 two years ago and non existent AI. Also it has no multiplayer to speak of.
Halo 3 on the other hand has some freakin sweet looking graphics and some of the best AI around. Oh and did I mention the multiplayer rocks harder than OnionB’s mom. Well, I just did.

The PS3 does 1080p in movies, 720p in games. Unless your TV is not compatable with 720. Then the Xbox bumps it up to 1080. The PS3 dumbs it down to 480p. That’s if you buy the HDMI cable sold separately.
ANd most of the titles you mentioned were Xbox ports.
How long have you had your PS3? If it hasn’t crashed yet, I appologize about the comment that they’re all having the same problem. MOST are having these problems.

I do appologize though for the FPS comment. Other than the fact that Sony does seem to be following (albeit faulty) in its competitors’ footsteps.
No the PS3 blue-Ray runs on 1080P and some games run on 1080P and Halo 3 graphics look good but Gears of War look better if you like halo you going to buy the game but the 1,000,000 people the love the game is going to play the game, And never buy another one the other 5,000,000 of people like me that have a PS3 and a Wii are not going to buy a 360 or care about Halo.

Actually you have me all wrong. I am more than willing to give the PS3 a chance, but it continues to disapoint. No I havent played Kill Zone 2, so I look at the CG trailer they showed at E3, then research the developer that made the original game and base my opinions off that. Im assuming you havent played the game either since it is far from release, so why do you assume the game is so good? Based off of a CG trailer? Or now that they have decided to show in game footage, all they do is hype the graphics and downplay the actual gameplay and character AI. Also…. “they changed almost everything”??? What does that even mean? I hope they would change everything because everything about the first game was pretty bad. Just because they changed it, doesnt mean its going to make it better does it. Good games get made by good developers, and based on their previous work, Guerilla is not a good developer. And bad developers make bad games. And yes, bad games can have really pretty graphics. Look at Lair… So if you really deal with facts, you should have a look at those. Or come out with some actual facts and not vague descriptions about “changed almost everything”…

I know you say that you make statements based on facts, but i hope you know the difference between fact and rumors. Not that funny…. I do think killzone will be awsome, but owning both consoles and being a big fan of the Halo series, I am looking forward to Halo right now as I am really interested in the story. As of now, I really don’t see a lot in killzone except gameplay (which is really good looking) but I can’t make a case for it beating out Halo 3 at the moment…
And thats because HALO is a proven, successful, critically acclaimed franchise and Kill Zone 2 is a wannabe blockbuster sequel to a game that never deserved one.

I love the way that they showed the worst of worst graphics they could find on halo 3, including pre-alpha graphics(thats right – place holder graphics before they even start implimenting the real thing), and then compared it to the graphics of a game that comes out a year later – and then decare it “the winner.” This is supposed to de-hype people?
Reality check:
1) No one likes halo 2 for it graphics. No one ever mentions anything about its graphics when they talk about it. What people want in this case is gameplay.
2) If graphics is the yard stick by which you measure how good a game is then we should all drop out consols and buy the latest PC. Wait till some new footage of Crytech comes out – if your a graphics whore then you gonna wet your pants.
3) Graphics get old. Graphics get way old. How long would Killzone be the new kid on the block anyway? Even if halo 3 had absoulty nothing online to go before it dies out… and beleive me… it has ALOT of promising new MAJOR features over halo 2.
4) How can one game be “the winner”? If two great games come out, and one is better than the other, then what is our end result? We have two great games to play. There is no such thing as a losing game.

Um, lots, if not millions of people. Halo was never supposed to be a blockbuster hit, but guess what, it was. I had a playstation 2 before i got my xbox, i thoguht it was ok but nothing that great was out for it. Then that christmas morning i found out my parents got me a xbox with Halo:CE. It was Far better than any game ever released on the ps2. When i found out that they were going to make another one, i couldnt wait. Im sure lots of other people were hooked before all the hype.
Xbox fans are here to read the funny reviews of Bioshock, Halo 3, and Lair (throw in Heavenly sword too)
Plus the fact that they took the graphics Pre-beta and compared it to a CG gameplay video, nice try SDF, but you fail yet again.

First one didn’t suck. Red Orchestra on PC has the same rating as the original Kill zone but yet it one multiplayer game of the year Red Orchestra did, and the game of the year award by the Wargamers union. Reviews are not trusted they are all bias you know. Killzone has a very good following just like Halo does, problem is, Halo gets the marketing up the wazoo, and it is perhaps the only reason Xbox the original even survived the last generation, because it was so over hyped, when I found most Ghost Recon games on the old XBox far more fun than either Halo 1 or 2.
