HD-DVD Deathbed Watch – Rush Hour 3 Blu-ray Only Until Sometime In 2008

Rush Hour 3, the summer’s biggest action-comedy that grossed over 200 million worldwide, will be a Blu-ray exclusive for 2007. The HD-DVD counterpart will be released at an unknown time in 2008, assuming HD-DVD stays around that long.
Technical Specs:
Video: 2.35:1 1080p
Audio: 6.1 DTS
Extras: Commentary, deleted scenes, production featurette, gag reel, trailer, and exclusive to the Blu-ray release enhanced visual commentary.
HD-DVD owners can still watch Rush Hour 3 this year, but on the low resolution DVD format and without the enhanced visual commentary.

Uhh, who cares? The movie was just as bad as the first two.
seconded
read my name to get my opinion, no one cares about hd video
“HD-DVD owners can still watch Rush Hour 3 this year, but on the low resolution DVD format and without the enhanced visual commentary.”
ARE YOU SHITTING ME? NO ENHANCED COMMENTARY? KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS? TIME TO KILL YOURSELF
Ahhahahhahahhahahahahahhahahahhahahahahhah.
Oh Noes! im in ur blu rya, proprietaring ur formats.
ZOMG, i can buy a shit film on blu-ray and then laugh because its not coming out on HD DVD for a few months, WOW….. i have to buy a ps3 now
how does this justify spending £450????
I’m happy with normal DVDs on my standard definition TV
OK SDF, I’ve been critical lately saying the site hasn’t been as funny, but this post actually cracked me up. RH3 BluRay exclusive is CLEARLY a sign that the format war is over.
Sony might even sell more PS3’s with this news. This could be Sony’s answer to the Halo 3 mania that has swept the world. lol
It looks like HD people got a lucky break missing that turd-fest
Rush Hour 1 sucked.
Rush Hour 2 sucked even more.
Rush Hour 3 sucked even more than before.
So I guess the format was is over. Blu-ray can have Rush Hour and there shitty sequals.
Wow a movie that looks bad coming to Blue-Ray!!! OH NOES!!!!! DVD IS DEAD!!!
So somehow Rush Hour 3 is going to beat the sales of Halo 3 I’m guessing, and PS3’s will be flying out of the stores. Ya know I think I’m going to go get a PS3 right now, so I can watch a really lame movie.
Oh wait look at that 300 is on Xbox Live Marketplace and in HD, never mind I guess I’ll just download this and play Halo 3 later on.
You should’ve kept this post off the site. When Transformers is released all the HD-DVD supporters will be looking down on Blu-Ray supporters from the shoulders of Optimus Prime. Even worse the upcoming Beowulf, that looks insane, is from Paramount studios so we’ll miss out on that one too.
I would say that we can laugh back when Spider-Man 3 comes out but that sucked too. And this is coming from a hardcore Spider-Man fan. Actually, most of it was really good. It was just the ending was probably the worst I’d seen this summer. I enjoyed the super cheesy Fantastic Four more than I did Spidey.
But at least we get Die Hard 4 and all Disney films (although Pirates 3 sucked too).
The other problem with this post is that Rush Hour 3 was panned by most critics and movie goers alike so I don’t think anyone is going to care that it’s Blu-Ray exclusive even for a limited time. My guess is that if/when it is released on HD-DVD no one will care.
Rush Hour 3? So only movies below 6.5 / 10 on imdb goes on bluray and everything above hddvd?
who cares, really? the rush hour movies were made of ass and fail, whoop de fuck, a black cop meets white cop (substitute for asian in this case, but you get the point) movie, that hasn’t been done a trillion times
OMG I CAN’T WATCH A CRAP MOVIE IF I DON’T BUY A PS3!!!!!!!
Time to go……….play my 360
Guess what I just found out? Jackie Chan hates the Rush Hour series! He says the action was “too Americanized” and he “doesn’t understand the humor.”
Don’t worry, Jack, neither do we!
hahahaha … in other news Rush Hour 3 is coming to BETAMAX, another superior Sony format.
yeah kinda said above, but enjoy your standard DVD version of transformers

This is exactly why I said this post was a waste of time. You can’t hurt HD-DVD supporters with crap like Rush Hour 3. Die Hard 4 or maybe Spider-Man 3 (which was great except for the last 10 minutes) but not a series that hasn’t been good since the first one.
At least I don’t have to worry about Shrek 3, headed to HD-DVD. You can have that sorry mess although it would’ve been nice to have the first one on Blu-Ray.
Oh well, maybe when Blu-Ray wins Paramount will go back and re-release everything onto Blu-Ray.
And because they’re still making Blu-Ray movies (remember, Spielberg pictures are on both formats) something tells me that they’re only an e-mail and a red button press away from starting production for Transformers — and all other Paramount films — on Blu-Ray.
Please both Blu-Ray and HD DVDs are going to lose out to normal DVDs. So what does it matter. Alot of people would not buy a DVD player for the price a Blu-ray and HD DVD player cost. Plus you also have the Blu-Ray and HD DVDs costing like 10 bucks more then normal DVDs also.
Tom…
I declare war on thee….
