It looks like Sony will no longer be supply constrained in their global markets and they’ll be well equipped for that $399 price drop rumored to be coming soon.
Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., one of the world’s largest manufacturers on electronic manufacturing service (EMS) basis, recently joined Sony’s supply chain to deliver Play Station 3 (PS3) consoles, according to industry sources.
The sources noted that Sony has set a shipment goal of 10 million PS3 consoles for the first quarter of 2008. This means fierce competition in the global market for game consoles and will lead to a boom in the sector making consumer electronics.
Insiders in the sector said that Sony has cut the selling price of PS3 consoles, and, at the mean time, planned to launch low-price models, with ASUSTeK Computer Inc. and Hon Hai Precision to supply the models.

Given all the useless, unwanted junk that shows up on eBay, it was only a matter of time before Halo 3 made its way there. A desperate gamer by the name of “aaron9198″ apparently obtained a leaked copy of the game, and after rifling through it, it seems he was so disappointed that he realized the necessity of recouping his investment by pawning the game off on eBay.
It’ll be interesting if SDF share his sentiment when we launch our review later on this month.

We normally save our reader emails for our Monday Mail feature but this one was so good it deserved its own post.A disgruntled XBox 360 owner (and who isn’t?) writes in:
I just pissed on my XBox 360
A good ole drunken piss, right on the XBOX 360 and into its vent holes on the side.
Came out pretty clear, smelled only a little bit of the alcohol that went through my digestive track.
It was probably the best piss I’ve ever had. I’m not sure if my XBOX 360 is still functional, although I’m not too concerned. It felt good to put it in its place… My Playstation 3 would never be bathed in urine, perhaps it would be worthy of a fine bath of a $500 bottle of wine upon its retirement, but as of right now no such bath is needed.
With Gears of War and Bioshock completed, I feel as if my XBOX 360 has little use to it. *Yawn* another game involving a space marine or some soldier with a huge gun. Shadow of Rome was a PS2 exclusive, remember that. I’m open minded, therefore XBOX 360′s upcoming catalog of titles seems rather unintoxicating to me.
I’m not sure if my XBOX 360 will work tomorrow, nor do I really care. I’m sure I could rub it down with some alcohol and sell it to some **** down the street for no less than $300 (Premium Pack) and spend the earnings on a few good Blu Ray titles or PS3 game pre orders if misfortune is to dance with my XBOX 360.
If I wake up tomorrow and find that it does not work, perhaps I’ll open up the XBOX 360′s case and leave a bit of fecal matter on the inside to stink up the future owner’s living quarters. That’d be a good one. I’ll make sure to head to Rite Aid across the street and pick up some fiber supplements to make sure I have a good bowel movement worthy of placing inside of the 360′s case.
What can we say? We hope your XBox 360 finds a good home.

I think this picture says it all… Why even bother with content? They might as well redirect their site to Halo3.com. The scary part is this is but one of many ad-covered sites that will release their reviews of Halo 3 in the next coming weeks. I urge everyone to keep their eye on SDF for our unbiased review of Halo 3 which will be posted near the Halo 3 launch.

Apparently a well-known groups of hackers are attacking Xbox Live users through Phishing methods. We were shocked to hear that this was indeed true. Microsoft has gone on the record to verify this:
“Microsoft has confirmed reports of certain individuals taking over subscribers’ Xbox LIVE accounts through fraudulent behavior…“
They went on to say:
“This was not a failure of software technology. We want to reassure our customers that there has been no security breach of the Xbox LIVE network or of Bungie.net“
Interesting…
