Monday Mail: Smashing a 360 and SDF Hate
Time for another (late) edition of the ever popular Monday Mail. This week we cover a couple emails about smashing systems and a reader begging SDF to change it’s ways…

Dear SDF,I recently obtained a PS3 after about a year of playing my 360. I enjoyed myXbox but when I saw PS3′s mind blowing graphics and Blu-Ray, I realized Ihad been missing out for a year! I played Halo 3 after playing Lair and I was shocked by how bad my 360′s graphics were. I than proceeded to pick my 360 up, drive it to a park by my house, and throw it out my car window. I stomped on it for good measure. Not only did a game like Lair blow any game on the 360 out of the water, but it had awesome graphics too! I hope that all current 360 owners can realize just how shitty your system is. Sony forever!
Thanks for the letter Jim. It’s good that you stomped on it to make sure it was dead but lets be honest here… you were just stomping a dead horse. The way that system red rings it was most likely dead from the harsh journey from your house to the car. It can only take so much abuse!

Ok I need to give my two cents here … I was kinda or reluctant to buy LAIR since I saw a lot of really bad reviews out there. Since I had $60 spare in my pocket I decided to give it a try even before receiving my rental from an online game/Blu-Ray rental site … I must admit that the game not only controls very well (knowing what u are doing) but it is also funny, challenging and EPIC !! So I really don’t understand how on earth the game got such bad reviews. On the other hand I do own a 360 as well and unfortunately I spending less and less time with it since I got my PS3. I do find the PS3 more appealing and stylish in my living room near my SHARP AQUOS LCD (same color …) meanwhile the 360 looks a little cheap (like a toy!). Don’t get me wrong I do (did) have my share of fun with the 360, there are some really funny and addictive games out there and the game ported on the PS3 don’t run as smooth as I would like to … but the Blu-Ray, the neat interface and the numerous multimedia applications make it a first choice for me.
Benny, Dude, don’t be so harsh on the 360, as we all know competition is good, it raises the bar for all the systems in the competition.

If you go to the game store they give you like $50.00 dollars for used Xbox 360s, you could used the money to buy a psp Final Fantasy the war of the lions is coming and Silent hill origins is just a few weeks away. Or used the money to buy Folklore is coming October 9 i have it reserve.

REeeeeeeally you rate Lair 10/10, you call THIS a truth? Bioshock 5/10 review the truth ? In fact you rated all PS3 game 10/10 and non-PS3 games lower then 5/10, ha talk about the truth. I maybe have give 6/10 for Halo 3 just for the single player but seriously 2.5/10 is pretty much a fanboy to me.

Played halo3 and lair. I’d rather spend five miniutes on halo than one hour on lair, it’s that bad. Another thing. Why do you THINK you get so much hate mail? wow man I am sorry to say that your first poster was a complete idiot. Now I’ve played both lair and halo 3. While lair did have the graphical edge I must say I prefer games that you can actually control with any sense of reliability. Halo 3 had that, so i prefer Halo 3. Now any person who would pick a pretty game that plays crappy versus a less pretty game that plays like it should, is not deserving of the title “gamer”.
oh and on the second post, you spin more bullshit than fox news. You give every ps3 game you review even lair, a 10/10 and bitch about good halo 3 scores. Weak.
