PS3 on pace to beat Xbox 360!
2007 is almost over and SDF can ultimately declare the PS3 as the clear winner. It has been a terrific year for the PS3 with games such as Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Lair and many more… The PS3 success can also be thanked due to the horrific failure of the Wii and Xbox 360. The failures include Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Ninjabread Man, and the list can on and on. These failures made it pretty easy for the PS3 to dominate sales and hearts of true gamers.
From the chart above, it shows the PS3 on pace to beat out the Xbox 360 and soon the children’s Wii. Many idiotic fanboys have said that the PS3 is a failure, and this piece goes against what they have all been saying. So next time some stupid little girl says “The PS3 is the gayzor, just look at the salez” all you have to do is direct them to Sonydefenseforce.com and they will be pissing themselves a pool. I did a real chart ( not pace ) on the site and you can clearly see that the Wii is the huge winning up to now and that the PS3 curve is about the same as the XBOX-360 was A YEAR AGO !!! when all the sony and nintendo fanboys where waiting playing nothing for a whole year ! The fact that the XBOX-360 is not selling at all in Japan clearly means that in a run for the second place, Xbox-360 is kicking PS3′s ass in america and europe…. and obviously Japan seems to be allegic to the american console, but still in the land of the rising sun, PS3 is still only in second place… when you look back… its like in the last generation … Wii being the PS2, xbox-360 being the xbox and … PS3 being the GAMECUBE…. too bad,, at least you ps3 owners can watch movies with it… cool, you didnt waist all your money …

Eh, it’s a bit of an improvement over your SMG review. Still though, making fun of sales charts is kind of getting old. Seriously, come up with some new material. Also, you haven’t addressed the fact that the Wii and 360 have higher attachment rates than the PS3. The Wii has 10 games that have sold over 1 million copies (not counting Wii Sports and Wii Play), and the 360 has 19 games that have sold over 1 million copies. The PS3 has two games that have sold over a million. Make some sort of parody response to this at some point in time, please. Bogusfy some sales charts, hype MGS4, KZ2, LBP, and FFXIII sales through the roof, do something.
Well in their defense, they can’t use a doctored NPD, because those are cold hard facts, ones that don’t work for Sony no matter how they try to spin them.
Notice how the Wii and 360 stop dead in the prediction chart. The PS3 weaves and mirrors the other two in the actual chart, then goes straight as an arrow for the prediction! lol!

This is a sad, sad story. At least the charade is completely and utterly done. I don’t believe even a single tear will be wasted on the the death of this site.
Why would they even put the Wii on that chart? The Wii is so far out of Sony’s league it isn’t even funny. 18 million vs 8 million. On the other hand, The PS3 is matching the 360 sales pretty closely. Perhaps eventually we may see the PS3 outselling the 360. On the other hand, production costs of the PS3 are way, way higher than the sale price, and I for one am not entirely impressed with the software lineup.
I’m sure I’m not the average Sony fan. I don’t much care for the JRPG or the fighting game. I didn’t like God of War or DMC. Really, I’m a strategy fan, and I have a high end PC to show for that. The PS2 and my PC make an excellent team, and with the arrival of some old school strategy games on the DS, I’m sure to have a good year.
The only PS3 game to interest me is MGS4, but I won’t pay $460 to play it. I preferred the MGS and MGS2 style of close quarters stealth versus the ever so slightly more open camouflaged gameplay of MGS3, even though I hold that game in the highest regard. MGS4 looks to hold that style, but move it into a destroyed city. This makes me sad.
Really, though, who am I to give Sony crap? I’m sure they have something all worked out. I mean, they’ve managed everything else about the console so well, right?

The chart has me confused. It doesn’t show a date at the button ie, units sold per month style thing, or monthls at bottem and over all units sold on the left side of chart. There is no time scale only total units? Kind of a boring chart, why isn’t it a bar chart if it’s just total units and no time scale?

I agree with the PS3 remaining in 3rd place in this round. If we all remember a year after the PS2 was released there where a metric shit ton of great games for the 01 shopping season (GTA3, THPS 3, DMC, MGS2, FF10, and Dave Mirra 2). Even though there was some really good cross platform games this season, but the PS3 didn’t have nearly as good of a line up this year.
I think another price drop this year wouldn’t hurt sony either; I still think $400 is still a hard pill to swallow for most people and a $50 price drop will have it competing against the 360 pro model.

Yes I know it is Wii’s first year but 90% of the people doesnt see what PS3/Xbox has to offer. They look at the price tag and that was where Sony failed. The PS cost like 3 times more then a Wii

Does it have motion sensor controls? Also remember HD DVD still stores less data than a Blu-ray Disk. Also says nothing of cost either. Seeing the Elite already cost more than the average PS3 now, and that only with a better harddrive and higher resolution support. All the new featres of the ultimate makes me scared how much it will cost seeing how much the Elite cost for how little it gave over a normal 360. Also dare i ask? Why have a 320gb harddrive? I mean unless you never buy a movie again you don’t need one that big. My PC has two 80gbs and I stored 5 full TV shows on that and still a dozen games. Console games shouldn’t need a large harddrive since the games are disk based and all the information is stored on a disk. If I want to download a movie I’d use my PC for it since it’s faster to download, I can use tons of editing features so cut clips out of the movie and use for fun things. It makes the whole point of downloadable content for a console near useless.

Bluray has longer loading times, and the major game developers are in agreement… Current gen games have no need for blu-ray maybe in the next gen, and when the next gen does come around Blu-ray should be replaced.. dont get me wrong I like Sony, I have a sony ericsson phone and a sony HDTV, they are brilliant but they are just using the PS3 to try and sell another Failed sony format
I expect procedural generation to take off sometime soon, thus making blu-ray completely pointless, for gaming anyway.

Remember that Konami did say no to MGS2 on Xbox, they keeps saying that it’s exclusive for PS2 only. Yet there was so many rumors out saying that MGS2 will come to Xbox, Konami still denying it. Couple months later it released to Xbox with extra contents!!!

We all waithing for MGS4 but i know the game is going to be better on the ps3, I play Mass Effect and the game don’t keep up with the console whats going on there. Uncharted have better graphic and it play no problem.
If Konami likes to make money then they will put MGS4 on the 360 (timed of course). Given the attach rate for the 360 it’s a no brainer for 3rd party (and maybe 2nd party)dev’s.
Look at the sales for COD4 and Assassins Creed on the 360; they blew away the sales of the SAME GAME on the PS3.

Perhaps because Call of Duty 4 really isn’t that good of a game? I’ve grown to hate Call of Duty games since Call of Duty 2, i hated how they changed the gameplay. The Original on PC was the best Call of Duty, atleast Call of Duty 3 they tried to change it a bit, give more reason multiplayer wise than run around shooting eachother brainlessly. lol

No u are wrong call of duty is one of the best games out for the 360 ok it can have 9v9 games there are many diffrent game types a fun leveling system create your own class perks which add a diffrent way to play the game and u get rewarded for getting a kill streak 3 for radar 5 for airstrike and 7 for helicopter. the story is fun vetern will piss u off to no end the online is one of the best ive seen and it puts halo 3 to shame if u have either ps3 or 360 go pick it up u won’t be dissapointed
