A poll generally denotes a voting system, which I do not see on this post. Furthermore most of the “features” listed aren’t features of the game, but rather the features of the console.

it depends if they buy A HDMI model or if they accidentally buy the old model that is more prone to the RROD that microsoft is still shipping out.
there’s also the red light of death (bottom right light is red, something to do with the TV) which is even more of a worry since it’s not covered by the 3 year warranty.
It’s overall failure rate has been reduced to 16%, due to it being 33% before, most of those ones failing and being repaired, now the new falcons have fixed most of the problems, I’ll dig up the link after I get back from school.

better controller: now with this one its really no contest. ps3 has the better controller suited for this game. although the 360 is comfortable lets remember how terrible the controls were in the xbox version of GTA SA. maybe rockstar will work all the kinks out this time, but i am more comfortable with the ps3 controller. that and the fact that i won’t have to replace batteries.;P
free online play: yes sir, even though XBL is more social, i would much rather spend those 50 bucks on a brand new game (MGS4).
keeping the collection of games on one platform: that has to be the most idiotic thing i ever heard. i switched to playstation when metal gear switched from nintendo to ps1. if i used that same blind loyalty tactic then i would have missed out on one of the best gaming franchises ever! gamers don’t care about consoles they care about games!
no dice roll (rrod): this is actually a valid point. many of my friends have been struck with rrod. granted i have a newer HDMI model that hardly gets hot at all but that doesnt mean i couldnt have other problems like disc scratching, glitches, freezes, or have an update brick my console like many other people. definitely make me want to lean towards ps3.
no disc drive noise: again i have a newer model but a little noise which can easily be drowned out by a tv is not a game breaking flaw. ps3 is nice and silent but it can make noise if the room temperature gets too hot. so this is subjective.
hdd caching, superior lighting, and no slow down: this is actually accurate. ign has had a hands on with both versions. ps3 has less compression due to blu ray than its 360 counterpart. the result is ps3 having less jaggies. its not a big deal and again not a game breaking flaw but fanboys will exploit that to oblivion.

At least we paid for a system that isn’t a trumped up movie player (I paid for one, mind (PS3), and it sees very little use) and isn’t living on future potential. And how many games exclusivly use the D-Pad nowadays? Not that it’s in any ways bad, it does it’s job.
I have to agree that the inbuilt battery on the PS3 controller’s better then the optional battery pack with charge cable for 360, but Sony could have at least given us a longer cable. I’ve got a small bed room and I still have to get up off the bed and stand in the middle of the room so I don’t pull the system out of it’s hole.

HD DVD isn’t working out for me ‘cos I don’t have the player. Waste of money, like Blu-ray (I have 3 blu-ray movies, 2 were free promotions, 1 I actually bought. total waste of money.)

calm down. If GTAIV was on multiple discs on 360, SDF would have plastered it all over the front page. ‘sides, even if a game is on multiple discs, developers arn’t stupid enough to put them right in the middle of action, or require it to go to a new area. the only reason Blue Dragon and Lost Odderssy are on multi discs is because of the CV videos taking up so much space and you switch discs after a big event, rather then during.

That’s funny that you say free game demos because essentially GT5 Prologue is a $40 demo and alot of PS3 owners are shelling out the money for it. Then in a less of a year the full game comes out and then dropping another $60 for it. So who is stupid?
So, it’s bad to pay for superior internet service? So, we get updates that actually fixes lag and adds more convenience, while PS3 servers always seem to have a problem that requires patching. I’d rather not wait a month after buying the game just to play it online. Besides, GTA4 is most likely a rent only game. The online part won’t be the heavy hitter neither, it’ll be the single player. Then again THIS IS a joke site, so only the people who support Xbox will actually take in this comment while the people who made this website will probably ignore and flame. Ahh, a nice cycle.

It just takes an idiot such as you to pay for an expanded demo and then trade it in and get maybe half of what you paid and still coughing up another $40-55 dollars to get the full game. Yep, I’m expecting it. But if it continues around the UK where retailers are selling the Prem.X360 for just 200 quid… I don’t think anyone will care much for the PS3 bundle at all. A hundred quid difference between consoles for near enough the exact same experience.. you can be buying at least 4 more brand new releases for the 360 with the leftovers you’ld be paying for the PS3.
£300 for a console and one game is still a disgusting price to me, it’s not “fairly reasonable” at all, it’s atrocious to pay that price for a system that hasn’t had a more than one single game throughout the whole year (and a half) that’s reached breakthrough status.

I’ll give it to Xbox 360, they are a decent eight and a half, maybe nine, and let’s face it guys, the wii comes in at maybe a six or seven, but let’s be honest, on that same scale, the PS3 is over 9000.

All humor aside, I will stand by the majority on this one and say that gameplay and accessibility overshadow graphics here. 360 gets Episodic content, PS3 doesn’t. eventually something may be worked out, but I haven’t seen it yet, and if I DID happen to own both systems, that would sway my hand more than anything else, as it would any other gamer. We want a game before we want graphics. Give me a fun game with horrible graphics, and I will play it until I don’t enjoy it anymore no matter how bad it is graphically. The call for backwards compatible content and arcade titles shows this. last gen titles can’t hold a candle to this generation, and we all know it, yet how did we get here without playing games that were fun and not as graphically impressive? Would any of you refuse to play any of GTAIV’s predecessors because they’re outdated? I should hope not, or all you’re doing is throwing money away on things that will mean nothing once they’ve been topped anyway. People want fun games before they want eye candy, and that needs to come into consideration before anything else. Secondly comes the Accessibility. I own a 360, I know many people who own 360s, and know few who own PS3s. I know no-one who owns both. I will buy it for the console I have, as will those I know. It sells on the systems people have, and more people have 360s than PS3s. Don’t lie and say it’s not true. Look at sales numbers on a reliable console chart/sales site, and it confirms the statement. Once it’s all said and done, for me personally, I will choose the 360 because I made that choice the day I stood in line and handed over the money for it. It is the same choice anyone else here made when they bought their PS3 or 360. If you bought the PS3, I’ll come right out and say I disagree with you, but if you get what you want out of it, that’s your choice, and I’m definitely the wrong person to say you made a bad decision.
Ultimately it comes down to the most simple statement of all. You sacrifice what you have to get what you want. If you need what you want more than what you have, you have to accept what you lost to get it.
eh, I’ll probably pick it up on ps3, I personally prefer the controller, need some more use out my ps3 besides uncharted, and the extra content on the 360:
