And what’s with you all saying that the 360 doesn’t have any good games coming out in 2008-2009? Have you heard of Gears of War 2, Too Human, Fable 2, Halo Wars, Banjo Kazooie 3, and Mass Effect 2?

And I have no idea why you put Kung Fu Panda and Ghostbusters on this list. They are both 3rd party games, just like GTA 4. Did I forget to mention that GTA 4 sold more on the Xbox 360?

It may push it over the top yes. But in my opinion no game should be able to push the P$3 over the top. I guess gaming consumers aren’t as smart with money as they used to be when they were able to not be fooled by the Sega CD and the Neo-Geo. If things were then as they are now then I fully suspect the Phillips-CDI would prosper.

Only according to Sony themselves. It’s the same talk when Microsoft say the 360 is doing well. Of course the consoles own company is going to state their console is doing the best at any given day, it’s what they’re trying to sell.

If the PS3 is doing as well as they say they are doing, then why is the 360 version of GTA4 outselling the PS3 version?

Even though you weren’t addressing me, I think that the 360 will be the sucktage this year, there are very few games coming out for the 360 this year that have caught my eye, and MGS online has quite honestly made me start considering getting a PS3. That isn’t to say that the 360 is about to lose however, the ps3 is supposedly ahead of the 350 in europe according to sony, so that’s interesting to take note of, but not at all confirmed yet, all companies like to…dramatize, but we’ll see. I think the Xbox 360 won’t move as many consoles this year, not due to lack of system support, quite the opposite, the good games of holiday 07 and before already came out, and most all of the killer apps have already moved enough consoles. Contrary to what many say though, i think 2009 will actually be a better year for 360, rather than it’s time to die, and many games in the 09 year will boost sales again for the 360, but the PS3 won’t overtake the 360 in the 08 fiscal year, GoW2 will move enough consoles to stop that mainly due to the hype machine. MGS will move a lot too, and will the new FF installments (in what i think is in 09? or TBA, whichever), but not enough to topple the 360 yet, at least not until 09. 2009 is going to be one of the best years for gaming, and i believe, the 360/PS3 decider. I think PS3 will stay at close odds with 360 in the EU, the PS3 will always have a geeenerous lead in JP, and the 360 will keep a hold of US markets at least till the end of 2008.

so I guess that these games have been cancelled (due to the overpriced cost of making PS3 games) and are now headed to Xbox 360

The 360 sells about 1,000 units a week in Japan. If the PS3 has TWO Final Fantasy games out, who in Japan is gonna go out and buy a 360?

I wouldn’t be suprised if the 360 sold in the low hundreds for a couple months once FF13 is released.
