I do not see how this is making fun of the 360. This is probably referencing back to the PS1, when the game had to be on 2 discs because the game couldn’t be put on 1 disc.
This is like those Mac vs. PC ads, or the list of things you can do in GTA while waiting for your friends with the PS3 version to get it installed on their hard drives. Really immature, although I would hardly say it makes the 360 the laughingstock of the industry, especially because it has sold more than the PS3 (although the PS3 will probably end up selling more, Sony is more entrenched in the market than Microsoft). Are you sure Kojima made this? Because he has definitely said before that MGS4 is completely possible on the 360, and that it is not the quantum leap in graphics that everyone claims it to be.

And changing a disc isn’t bad. Best games ever were on multiple discs. Baldur’s gate, Myst, Final Fantasy 7 etc. etc.
I don’t mind changing discs. I’m not so lazy that I can’t lean slightly to my left and hit the EJECT button once every 10 hours.

They’re talking about not having to swap discs like you had to for the PSX because the game is all on one disc now. The comment has nothing to do with the Xbox, making a joke about the Xbox would be shooting themselves in the foot as MGS2 was released on it. Duh.

I don’t have a problem with changing discs, but I would prefer not to. I remember always having to take real good care of my cases for the FF games. Because one of the CDs could come loose and get scratched. We shouldn’t have to have games on multiple discs this generation. That’s the point of a next-gen system.

What ur forgetting is Bluray drives read at 2x speed, thus having to have the same data layered on top of each other to cut loading times. Look at Crysis for example, that easily fits onto a Dual Layer disc, and takes 6gb of PC space too. Yet MGS4 takes 50gb? Yea right.
MGS4 could easily fit onto a Dual Layer disc, theres no doubt about it. So this dig isnt aimed at the 360 but the older Playstations where they were on 2 discs.

I say this because what is one of the first things that Sonyboys pull out of their ass in 360 vs. PS3 topics. “It has BLU-RAY!”, though I don’t see MS adopting it, as they’re actually doing quite well with what they’ve got! More space isn’t all that great if it’s slow to read.

@Ninsonysoft – If memory serves me right, it was two securtiy bots conversing, and one of them was bragging to the other one about his “online capabilities”, then the other one says something like, “yeah but you also have a 50% failure rate”.
@keri – They were trying to “forge” their own path, with HD-DVD. Which isn’t that much different from Blu-ray, aside from the speed and space. They lost, and their stubborn ways made a lot of consumers suffer, and held back the HD movie market as well.
Suck it up. There’s nothing wrong with the 360 adapting Blu-ray. I dunno about you guys, but I prefer having a hard-copy of a game, I don’t like MS’ vision of the future.

The problem isn’t that it helps the gaming experience, the fact is that without these lame patches (because they ARE lame), the gaming experience would SUFFER. Now, with install and multiple copies they can barely hold the edge against the 360 in loading.
Imagine what will happen when the 360 is going to allow installs? The ps3 would lose the slight loading edge and become obviously slower.
The irony being: if the 360 gets blu-ray it will most likely be 4X or faster, especially when used for games (doubtful, cause unnecessary). It will instantly give the xbox360 the edge on the strongest selling point of the ps3, instantly making it a ps2.5 (humor). Wouldn’t that be cool?

On the 360 we’re on 12x reading speed.
so why have installs and multiple data.
Anyway Kojima imself said that the 360 is powerfull enough to play MGS4, the PS3 is only very slightly more powerfull than the 360 (the 360′s Xenos processor is actually capable of more than Cell)
And the PS3 version only takes up 50GB as its uncompressed. The Cell processor cant read uncompressed data fast enough. And the 2x loading speed isnt fast enough to distribute the uncompressed data.
The 360 version would be on 1 disk, as its compressed
MS didn’t forge ahead with HD-DVD, they didn’t even try! They offered an addon for their console, a “Buy it, or don’t.” affair. Ah, the “bad spelling/Grammar card”, the “I’m all out of ammo! FUCK!” arguement.

Fanboys will always claim that a big game will boost their console’s sales. Right now, PS3 fanboys are touting MGS4 as the Xbox killer. Last year, it was Xbox fanboys claiming that Halo 3 would sink the PS3. I can guarantee that later this year, the Xbox fanboys will be back at it again claiming that GoW2 will murder the PS3, and after that, PS3 fanboys will boast about how Killzone 2 will murder the 360. It’s a never ending cycle.
Besides Wiip, most people don’t play a game 3 hours straight. When I play games it’s often stretches of 1 hour after which I play another. This means I’ve got to switch the disc regardless.
Of all disc changes for owners with multi-disc games, the amount of in-game disc changes compared to game disc changes would amount to no more than a couple of %. Hardly worth paying 200€ over

How about swapping discs every time you drive from one city to another in GTA? ah you’re right, it’s only 2oz, no worries.
If you want HD movies you require more disc space, seems logical the same applies for HD games. Otherwise you end up with 15 minutes gameplay like in Gears of Bore.
But none of this alters the fact that I’m awesome at GT5.

Speaking of Blu-Rays and MGS4, a friend has been reading somewhere that not only do you have to wait for the inital install, but there’s also a waiting time of 3 or 4 minutes between each act for further installs.

The americans focused on one area and one area only and that was Omaha beach as it would be a strongpoint for a base for themselves.
In NO WAY did the US help the UK in WWII.
In WWI, you were more helpful than italy were (well without the changing sides). You came in very late and did fuck all.

the civil war and the war of independence were two seperate things set at two different periods in history. Civil war was north vs south in the 19th century and the war of independence was America (obviously not the united states at the time) was in the 18th century

I’m worried about the sanity of PS3 players when Bioshock is released for their system. Most of the game’s backstory is told through audio recordings your character finds on tape players rather than through half hour long CGI fests that the PS3ers are accustomed to.

How do I bash MGS4? Quite easily actually. Its quite obvious that Kojima has been corrupted by the all glitz no substance that is the credo of PS3 game design. And from what I hear its a CG shitfest. That link you showed of Kojima playing the first fifteen minutes of the game showcased that fact. I could almost hear Kojima thinking, “Damnit, just let me PLAY the damn game already!”
So instead of paying $60 for the game (as well as another, $400+ for the system), I’ll just go to the video store and pick up a pre-watched Pixar movie for like $5. To those keeping up that is a savings of around $455.

no, he’s simply telling the story through alternate means, some games tell their story as you walk through the game, which fails quite a bit sometimes because people are still focused on the game as the characters speak, while kojima is essentially making sure the end of MGS4 is chronicled in such a way that people can easily understand and digest it’s because a cut scene, granted they let you skip it simply because some people aren’t interested in the story, and if that be the case, the game has plenty of gameplay that goes beyond simply cut scenes and whatever you’d like to call it. If it was a movie, they’d call it a movie. But it’s a game, take it or leave it, MGS4 will be a good game, it’s not about sales, or fanboyism, truth be told, you can’t hate on a game for finishing its story well, having new and tweaked gameplay which better suits the game, and some good graphics, though granted they aren’t the best, but not bad by any means, quite good actually.
This might have come out a bit confusing, sorry i’ll clarify later if anyone misunderstands what I say.

The thing about the graphics not being the best, I agree with you. They look damn good, but not Killzone 2 or Crysis good. But for some reason, a bunch of the reviews I read for it claimed that it has the best graphics this generation has seen. Who knows?

I owned a 360 for a year though repairs meant I was actually in possession of one for 10 months. Looking back Gears and Halo were dull in comparison to resistance (online). Resistance reminds me of the time I loaned a laptop with Quake3 arena on it, bodies and bullets flying all over the place, nice short life expectancy…total blast!
Huh. I must be really lucky, because my xbox has yet to RROD after 2 years of playing. In my experience Gears was fun online but often degraded into a shotgun festival, which kind of eliminated the need for a cover system. The best multiplayer game I have ever played would have to be CoD4, a multiplat.

I don’t know a lot about LBP, I’ll need to read up on that some more. The one PS3 exclusive I couldn’t give two shits about is Killzone 2. That game looks like a watered down COD4 clone. Its main claim is graphics, and it isn’t even in the same league as games like Crysis. Hell, RE5 looks better than it.

I think I’m one of the few people who really, really disliked RE4. The REmake for the Gamecube was far by the best Resident Evil I’ve ever played and RE4 was a total deviation from the series, I don’t know if RE5 will make it up to me, but from what I’ve heard, it’s going to be like RE4. :/

Had the Xbox 360 been made by Sony, would the Sony fanboys have bought it and proclaimed it the best thing since sliced bread regardless of it’s inital problems at the start of it’s life? Yes.
Had Microsoft made the PS3, would the Sony fanboys be mocking it the same as the so called Xbots do? Yes.
2 years on almost, and do PS3 players still think that the Bluray was a needed feature, or just a forced upon extra? I still think it was. Think of how much cheaper the PS3 could have been if it just stuck to dual layer discs and had the Bluray as an addon. TBH, the bluray would have sunk like the HD DVD did had it been, truthfully it was really only ever intended for movies and not really required for gaming.
Leaving the past efforts behind and focusing on the present, the PS3 still has done nothing to prove itself as the top dog of this console generation like the PS1 and PS2 did. The Xbox keeps out witting it in every department that matters, online play, price, gaming.
Even Six1s summed it all up in an earlier post in this thread. So why do Sony Fanboys keep defending the undefendable like they personally own Sony themselves?

Sadly, I agree with you. Blowing up cars over and over again is not fun. The multiplayer sucks except for playing with friends. The most I did in singleplayer after beating it was jumping out of an Infernus at max speed to see the ragdoll. Sigh.

Now the dust has settled with GTA4, i think it’s fair to say (which both PS3 players and 360 players would both agree on too) is that GTA4 is pretty shit compared to how awesome it could have been.
Not a chance in hell would i have given it a perfect 10 like 90% of the credable gaming sites around the net did. Around a 8 or 9 would have been more realistic.
Since i completed it 2 days after it’s release, i havent even bothered to put it back on. And im pretty sure im not the only person not to either.
GTA4 is not a patch on San Andreas which in my view is THE best GTA game so far.
The GOTY title still belongs to COD4 unless Battlefield: Bad Company dethrones it.

No backlash on your ‘PS3 is the superior console’ cause we have all come to the realistic conclusion that it’s not even close to being the ‘superior’ console this time round. The PS1 and PS2 might have been, but the PS3 isnt so whats the point arguing when we all know th truth? This Gen belongs to the 360.

Actually a 360 would generally last longer than 4 months. Defects are much rarer in the new models of the system.

You say your mad at the defective X Box, but, were you ever mad with Disc Read Error on PS2? I have had one 360 yet this is PS2 number four for me, due to disk read error. Though NOW it has a good system for replacement, at first, there was nothing.
If a system’s good, you’ll forgive it’s system failings. Which is why neither of the three consoles are going away for quite a bit.
Each has things to offer, like it’s been said earlier, game to game. I’ve played all of em, so far (that is SO FAR Disgaea 3 and BluBlazer could change it for me) the 360 is more my tastes. Doesn’t mean my roommate’s an idjit for havin a PS3. THOUGH he is having HD problems.
But regardless, defend games you play, not really systems. I mean, that’s what you really play right? And for now, Xbox has what I wanna play. Will it remain that? Probably not.
Know whats really fucked up about this console cycle? Its that all 3 consoles all offer totally different experiences:
Wii- The social console that (almost) everyone loves.
PS3- The machine with a little something for everyone.
360- the hardcore gamers rig.
So its a win win situation for gamers this time around.
BTW why are fanboys are idiots that are so hell bent on the “destruction” of a certain console that would actually hurt our beloved hobby in a whole is one was to be discontinued.
PS3 fans and xbox 360 fans should be grateful for the opposite console. A monopoly means that a company doesn’t have to do shit to improve their console, because they know everyone will buy it anyway. At least with the competition they have to constantly strive to make their console more attractive to consumers.
UPDATE: A speck of dust hit my PS3 and it malfunctioned. 100% failure rate alert! It warned me in the instruction booklet BUT IT WAS TOO LATE.

Remember what happened to Nintendo back in the 80′s? They got fined by the FTC for almost having a monopoly on the market. Hell 3rd party publishers could only release 2 games a year, couldn’t develop on any other console, had to have the “seal of quality”, and nintendo also made the cartridges as well.
So would anyone really like that type of control by one company? I don’t think anyone would at all.

I still remember when I saw the first trailer on the OPM demo disc. I was drooling over that sucker, I have no idea how many times I watched it.
@Slimster – I think everyone got blinded by the hype and their WANTING to love GTA4. There was no way they would give it what it truly deserves.
Had the same effect on me, I thought it was great the first few days, but now I play it maybe once or twice a week. I swear, I’m still on the part where Niko’s cousin gets kidnapped and you have to help hijack the van full of TVs.
Everytime I pick it up, I end up doing something stupid, and it leads to more stupid stuff, and all of a sudden, I’m being chased and I blow up or get killed. Then I throw on something else.
I’ve never been this hyped-up over a game. It’s crazy.
It almost feels like the release of a new console. Like it or not, there is no game out there that delivers what MGS4 does.
It’s like having a blockbuster movie release in your own home, that you can actually play through. Complain all you want, but the cut-scenes are part of Metal Gear, and are part of what makes it so damn special.

Jealous Xboxers? Jealous of what exactly? The fact that the PS3 plays films cause thats the ONLY thing that makes the PS3 stand out against the 360. Yet everything that is important ie. GAMING is much better done on the 360. Even the Wii is better for gaming than the PS3.

You are going to have to go into more detail on your jealousy statement. Just for what reason are the people who dislike the PS3 jealous for? Jealousy is a moot emotion in this situation. If someone was jealous then they would buy the PS3. Ergo, jealousy is rather impossible in this situation.

Let’s say Sony sell 20m PS3′s next week, and MS sell 1,000 Xbox 360′s next week (that quote will probably be put up as front page SDF fact when Hans reads it, lol) and the PS3 takes over as teh best selling platform. Does that mean that the PS3 is the best chioce for gamers? No.
Sales dont mean anything because 80% of people are buying the PS3 mainly for the Bluray to watch films because it’s the cheapest option, not because it’s the best gaming machine.
The PS3 has got a LONG way to go to take over as the No.1 chioce for gamers. Maybe in say 2 years time it may befiefly take that spot when the 360 is at the end of it’s life cycle, but then the Xbox 720 (or what ever it will be called) will shortly be released there after, right bang in teh middle of the PS3′s lifespan. Where will that leave gamers? They will all move onto the next gen and force Sony to abandon the PS3 and release a rushed PS4. All because of the Bluray and thier inablilty to research how to properly pretect the data on it (the real reason wy teh PS3 was 16 months behind, google it for proof).
The PS3 WONT ever be the top dog in this gen, Sony left it WAY too late, just like MS did with the original Xbox, to really dominate something thats half way there.
I dont dislike the Playstation brand as i have owned all of them (minus the PS3), and still have them all too. Just the PS3 doesnt have the same impact the others did when they were released. For a gamer everything is done much better and is alot cheaper on the 360, so a real gamer will no doubt own a 360 (and probably bought another if thier first one RROD without batting an eyelid) because thats where the real gaming is at.
If the PS3 did or did better than what the 360 has already done then the PS3 would have been 1st chioce, but instead Sony decided to concentrate on selling it as something that it isnt, a movie player. I dont want to watch movies or rebuy movies i already own, i want to play games, and thats where Sony fucked up because as you can see with the serious lack of games 18 months the release of the PS3, it’s not where it should be. Theres nothing at all that would convince a gamer that the PS3 is the console to have. Unless u could give a valid reason on why the PS3 is better at gaming than the 360?

No one’s arguing that MSG4 has a truly impressive presentation, and hopefully no one’s arguing that it’s not a great game, and a solid addition to the PS3′s library, but I get pissed when PS3 devs and fans start acting elitist because they’re developing for/playing the console, especially when all the Cell processor has going for it against the Xbox is “Floating Point Performance.”

No paul. I wouldn’t trade you MGS4 for GTA4. If I get GTA4, I’d rather get the 360 version. It may not be the definative version (to you), but I much prefer the 360 controls to the sixaxis/dual shock 3 (which still isn’t out here…)
I’ve just gotten past the first boss, Laughing Octopus (well, I did a few hours ago, anyway) and I’m enjoying it. I’d hardly say it’s the most “ZOMG M0ST FCKUING AMAZING GAM3 3V3R!!!!!!!!!”, but it’s pretty damn good.

You wouldn’t have as much trouble with sound while playing the 360 if you didn’t rest your head on it while playing. That could have also had a contributing factor to your (supposed) 360′s demise.
As I’ve never rested my head on my 360 the noise has never been an issue to me.

Supposing you’ve only ever used a tractor for your weekly trip to the shoe shop, you may think…this is ok, I can cope with the noise, I’ll just wrap a towel round my ear muffs with a bigger pair of ear muffs over the towel then another bigger towel under a really big pair of ear muffs. Then one day your husband loans you his Mercedes, you’re gonna think…my God! That tractor’s almost as loud as a 360.
When I first turned on my Ps3 I thought I’d gone deaf, having been so accustomed to the tractor, I mean 360.

As usual you are making shit up. Forget comparisons, to even HEAR the 360 at all at any level I have to turn my television off. As far as a tractor goes, I’m quite sure you can hear that over a tv. But then again as you have never owned a 360 you are talking out of your ass as usual.
I’ve had miniature desk fans whose low setting was noiser than the 360.
I don’t have to “cope” with the noise of the 360, I have to put a fuck-lot of effort into actually noticing it.
But hey, as long as we are making stuff up I’ll go along with that. I’m glad I no longer own my PS3. The controller got so hot that it left third degree burns and blisters on my hands. The scar tissue still hasn’t gone completely away.
Seriously Paul, it’s not that loud, it’s usually only really loud in an enclosed space like a DVD cabinet, and if you close the door while it’s in there it can gather heat too and red ring. And usually the sound will drown it out, and you’ll get used to it in a month.

NPD numbers are in. Our beloved PS3 outsold the 360 by 28k I believe. But guess what guys? I don’t care! MGS4 is too awesome.
No offense to any GTA, Devil May Cry, or Halo fans, but this is the way you make a next-gen game of your franchise.
One more good piece of news. IGN gave my baby a 10! Hehe, they wanted to give it an 11.

I do have an HDTV, and my PS3 gets the HDMI slot, seeing as I, amazingly, have a fairly early 360 that runs fine (and uses the VGA slot).
I’m not sure what you’re getting at graphics wise. Sure, MGS4 is a very good looking game, but it’s more on par with CoD4 then anything else.
Also: MGS4 is not a 10/10 game. it’s an easy 9/10. But then, there is NO game in the entire world that is utterly perfect, so people who give games maximum scores are getting paid off (including all the Halo 3 reviews, that was 9/10 at best too)

10/10 doesn’t mean perfection, just saying. OXM even have a 11/10 score that no game will ever get, just to send across that point, they’re suggesting that 10/10 is not perfection.
That’s why all scores should be out of a million, with >900 000 reserved for Ps3 titles, imho.

You know how Blu-Ray is meant to eliminate that whole disc changing thing?
Well, before each act (each of which arn’t more then a few hours), you have to sit for 3 mins while the game installs stuff on the HDD. What the hell is the point? It would be easier to put each act on a seperate disc and let use change them. it’d be a hell of a lot quicker.
btw, did anyone notice the joke at the fact you have to install stuff onto PS3 at the end of the first install when you put the disc in?
I’ve been reserving judgement on this game cuz I didn’t have the foggiest idea what was going on, and I’m still pretty naff, but I just realised that I can switch out my inventory via the pause screen (total asshole I know…but gimmee a break! I’m old). The selection of weapons is great, also I can finally access my rusty oil drum which is hilarious to watch, also I just sneaked up on, and killed some guy who was pleasuring himself to a playboy magazine, also I’ve just opened my first beer…gonna be a swell night.I love it when I finally start getting to grips with a new type of game.
Apart from that, it looks and sounds amazing and if the 3 minute installs are the price you pay for zero frame rate issues etc. then it’s totally worth it.

Finished MGS4 yesterday at 11:30 PM. Masterpiece. Just stunning. Metal Gear Online is pretty fun, except for a few issues (been shot through wall dozen of times).

Even though where both big fans of the MGS series, it’s still to early (and kinda naive) to say ” its the most awesome game of this generation”.
While this console cycle is still relatively young, we still don’t know what we are still in for. Sure there will be the sequals to games that we enjoy but there could be a new IP thats completely fucking awesome.
MGS4 gets a 10/10 from IGN and GameSpot. An A- from IGN though.. LOLOLOLOLROFLCOPTER M$ PROPAGANDA

Hope you get a chance to try it out soon. It really is THAT good if you’re a MGS fan. I had huge expectations for this game, and it’s already surpassed them, and I’m only like 3 hours into the game. (I replayed the first 3 hours on different difficulties)
@keri – This is one of those games that I almost wish was multi-platform so everyone could enjoy it. Every gamer should at least get their hands on it for a little bit. I know you feel betrayed by Sony and hate everything PS3 related, but in all seriousness, it’s the best MGS by far.

Take your time and play ‘MGS4: Son Of All Installs’ slowly, it may be another 18 months before the PS3bots get another AAA game on thier PS3. So take ur time and it should last all year.
And who knows? It could be another 2 1/2 years before xbots get their first.
just finished it, in 13 hours and 44 mins. Easily the best MGS, and stealth action game. Game of the year? definatly a contender. Although more actual game would be nice (I think all the cut-scenes and codec talks totalled about 5 or 6 hours)

Yeah dude you can call me Cold, but you do bring up something that has been bothering me about the videogame industry this console cycle that didn’t happen with the last. The term “next-gen”; it’s always, “next-gen this or that” but the problem is the PS3, 360, and the Wii are “current-gen” consoles. The PS2 is slowly is on its way out (bravo to sony for keeping it going for this long) and the GC and original xbox have all but gone away. So when i hear “next-gen” it makes me roll my eyes and think “whatever and stop marketing to the people that believe everything they read and just give us the straight dope”.
Going with the MGS theme, Sons of Liberty. But with the PS3′s case it’s Son Of All Installs.
Ironic this thread is meant to be bashing the 360 due to MGS4 being on 1 disc, yet u get constant installs because the Bluray is shit for gaming. LOL

My GAME ID is Insane Elite on Metal Gear Online, incase anyone wants to play.
Overall I give MGO a 9/10. Its really fun to play, and with slow level and skill ups, you’ll be looking at good time put into it. My favorite gamemode and map is Sneaking Mission on Bloodbath. Sneaking Mission has the true MGS4 feel to it: Two sides fighting with Snake in the middle. I dropped off a point because the lag, which is occasional, can be life or death. Rolled away from someone using CQC? Thnik again. Hid behind a wall from an enemy? The bullets coming out of the wall think otherwise.

The installs aren’t all that bad. I tend to usr the first 8-minute one reading the preorder booklet or the instruction booklet. Every other one, which is 1 to 2 minutes, I stretch a bit, grab something to eat. I do the same thing for putting in another disc on other games.

They can’t really spin that without giving away the fact that they are trolls. Most of those games are respected franchises, and this was a great move by Microsoft.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is fun, it focuses on gameplay more than graphics. It’s kinda old school in that the game will seriously kick your ass if you try to button mash or something.

If you button mash in Ninja Gaiden, you’re going to die. Plain and simple. My weapons ar the Vigoorian Flail, Eclipse Sythe, And Dragon Sword and sometimes the Tonfas. I know one guy who buttonmashed, he had about 56 deaths last I checked on level 7 on acolyte, and I had about the same amount on level 9 on warrior, so…:P

Seriously if you button mash in NG2 it will hand you’re ass to you. Even the grunt type enemies can give you a “game over” on the easy difficulty if you just button mash. Don’t get me started on the ninja dogs with exploding shurikens that come at you in packs and just kick your ass all over the place either.

It’s graphics aren’t BAD, they just aren’t super-realistic like Crysis. IT took the respectable route of gameplay over graphics, or SUBSTANCE OVER STYLE. Oh well.

I know a lot of you have played the other games on the PS2. If you enjoyed those, you’ll definately enjoy this one.

I for one would welcome such a great game on the 360, but I will probably cave in first and pick up a cheap PS3 somewhere. With my luck, a 360 port will be announced an hour after I buy it…

I for one would like to see this so called “contamination” on the 360. For fucks sake if you don’t like it, noone is aiming a gun to your head and telling you have to play MGS4 if it comes out on the 360.

So without ever playing the game once, you’re going to assume its a piece of crap? Oh no, a cutscene is over 5 minutes long. I never knew the game lasted 5 minutes and 5 seconds. 90 minute cutscenes don’t exist. The longest is about 45 minutes. Two in particular on long, but not 90 minutes. You’re being ridiculous.

Hate to break it to you but MGS1 was published by MS for PC, then konami released MGS2 Substance for the original xbox. So the MGS series does have a history with MS like it or not. Not only that konami is 3rd party developer so they can do what they want with MGS4 (unless there’s a exclusivity deal with sony) since its NOT published by sony what so ever. If Haze came to the 360 (from what i played its complete shit) then you would be justified for your arguement.

Yes, I am very aware that the previous Metal Gear Solid games have been on multiple platforms. Your point being? I didn’t say Sony, or PS1 and PS2 can keep their games to themselves. I said that the PS3 can keep its games to itself.
And why would I have a problem with any of those games? I’ve beaten and throughly enjoyed MGS 1 through 3.

I have admitted to being a fanboy. But to a multitude of systems. Those being: PS2, Wii, 360, and PC. That pretty much covers all companies now doesn’t it short bus?
This article fails. The only multi-disc game on Xbox I have ever come across is Lost Odyssey. It is a very long game, I have not completed it yet, and I am more than 60 hours in.
Our disc may be small, but that is MS only falling point. However, MS is outsourcing for Blu-Ray drives. There is a 50/50 chance MS will get Blu-Ray, and then Sony fanboys will have to find something else to complain about. With some many games, consoles, platforms, and so many amazing things each console brings to the table, I don’t understand why fanboys even exist.
Wii is an innovative system that puts the hands in hands-on. It’s a great system, although graphically lacking than it’s peers, that allows you to play games like never before. PS3 is a very powerful next-gen system, that is truly a home entertainment system. It’s a Home Theater PC more or less. Less focused on games, and more focused on multi uses. However, very power core, and a step above the rest in power. Xbox 360, a very fun, streamlined system. It offers the market proven best multiplayer experience. Xbox Live is indeed Gold, allowing you to save your friends, and you can even perform cross game invites. The controller feels the most comfortable and the system is a powerhouse itself. People look at the internals and say Xbox 360 only has 256 megs of RAM, but it’s not a PC, it’s a gaming system, it’s not suppossed to have 2GB of RAM. Some of the higher end PCs have trouble running the software that XBox 360 runs with ease. Anyway, all in all, there are too many cool systems out there, and you people should start appreciating all of them, instead of one of them.
