That’s actually kinda close. I would hardly call that “destroying.” If that’s all the PS3 can do, it will never bridge the gap between total 360 and PS3 sales.

If there are massive shortages every month, there shouldn’t be any 80 GB PS3s existing. Good thing I picked up the 40 GB PS3, avoided those massive shortages.
It begins.. The massive shortages began like, what, last year?
So, if this was on any other website, this is how the news would read
“In the month of May PS3 only outsold Xbox by 22.1 thousand units with the upcoming MGS4 around the corner.”
So this either tells me:
1) Im one of the few people that like MGS4
2) Im one of the few people that (some would say) wasted money on a PS3 just for MGS4
3) PS3 is not what its cracked up to be…
I would say 2 and 3 are true. And I would love for anybody that is a PS3 fanboy to explain to me why the PS3 is better then the 360…. in my experiance the PS3 is trash, and the only reason you should buy one is if your a MGS buff… like myself.
Like i said in the last thread, the PS3 could sell 20m consoles next month and the 360 could sell 2. But that still doesnt make the PS3 a better console, not by a long shot.
All this shows is that the Bluray movie business is going well, why else would anyone want a PS3 when they can get a massively superior 360 for half the price.

Hans, you must be seriously deluded. That Killzone gameplay looked pretty crap.
Here’s what i noticed wrong with it.
1. Bring nothing new to the able in terms of gameplay. Seen it all done before, and even better.
2. Looks nothing like the apparent CGI ‘gameplay’ trailers released back last year.
3. Way TOO grey, wheres the colour? Is the PS3 being pushed to it’s limits that it cant support both lighting and colour on 1 screen?
4. The A.I looks thick as shit, notice how the guy threw a grenade at the enemy only for it to run away then run right back at the grenade.
5. Seriously got no chance of being better than COD4, Halo 3 (which is saying something cause Halo 3 sucks imo), Gears of War, or any other FPS for that matter. Killzone 2 looks average at best.
6. Was it really worth paying $400 – $600 on a PS2.5 when they keep making shit like this? You may as well just kept ur PS2 if your not intrested in a 360.
I’ll be amazed if even SDF can put a spin on such a shit looking game. The only plus side to owning a PS3 is that you have got MGS4, but by the looks of it, thats your lot for the next year or 2 until GT5 is delayed, then delayed again then maybe released (which you can pretty much guarentee that it will, and probably have an epic install when it does get released).
I think it’s fair to say that the 360 will be in the No.1 spot for alot longer by the looks of it.
That killzone2 trailer looks good, but it doesn’t have any defining features. It looks average, has nothing to stand out in the crowd. Also the gameplay looks extremely boring with hardly any recoil on weapons or other forms of skill required.
I agree, Killzone 2′s only defining attribute is it’s graphics. I’ll still give it a go (if by some fluke theres a demo), but I don’t expect much from it.

It was obviously on easy, they were hardly shooting at him, and he absorbed more damage than the Terminator. If we was playing on a mans difficulty setting he would have been toast when he let that enemy get behind him.
Kinda hard to demonstrate a game when your dieing and going back to the checkpoint every 30 seconds.
Although Get some more colours! yes its a gritty war game but hell its too damn boring visually wise.
Although i dont own a PS3 you can be sure ill be going by my friends house to play it on his PS3.

I’ve said it often, Killzone 2 looks like a CoD4 ripoff that is trying to look like Crysis but fails. Also, from the looks of that gameplay trailer, the PS3 controller is really not suited for FPS’s (not that that’s a bad thing, it’s just not its focus.) Nowadays, originality is sadly lacking in most games, and many developers stick to the by-the-numbers fps blueprint with an emphasis on graphics. In today’s market, in order to truly succeed, a game needs more than graphics, it needs innovation, or originality. Killzone 2 just doesn’t have that. All it has is graphics. LBP will kick the shit out of that simply due to originality.

Cast your jealous minds back if you will, to the day before Halo 2.5′s release, you’ll recall that some people were still being misled into thinking it was half decent. You just never know is all I’m saying.
I’m not like all you fanboys…and girls…Keri! I am a gamer, I am also a realist, so I can say that Killzone 2 stands little chance of being the best FPS ever, the reason being, it comes out after Resistance 2, but it’ll almost certainly be the 2nd best FPS ever.

Resistance 2 looks a lot better, graphic wise, and gameplay wise. Stop being fanboys. It’s going to be good for the same reason people think Halo 3 is good.
Killzone 2 looks great, it might not be Crysis, but then again not too many people have seen it. So to all of us who don’t own a super-computer, Killzone 2 will be our Crysis. Gameplay wise, I’m skeptical. Who knows? It might blow, or it might be an above average experience with the graphics pushing it over the top to be a real good game.
Now my favorite, LBP, has the chance to be something huge. I really can’t wait. I want it more than RFOM2 and K2.
What I’ve noticed is that whenever SDF posts something that can’t be argued, like the fact that the PS3 sold more than the 360 (the “it begins” can be argued) that’s when you get all the rage from the 360 fans. Chill guys

Stickmeup and Coldyellow are the two reasonable people on this site. Paul, its okay to hype the shit out of an unproven game but not okay to point out what look to be flaws? I seriously doubt that Resistance 2 will be the best fps ever. It could be great, but probably not the best. RE5 would be the Crysis for people without supercomputers. It looks way better than KZ2

At the Killzone 2 gameplay, after showing the character robotically turning the valve with the Six-axis he starts to mention that they are giving an immersive experience that nobody else has given. I love it how he stops mid sentence, not because he was playing, because he knows he’ll be quoted on it when he is proven wrong!
