KILLZONE 2 Shatters Expectations and Hype – Xbots Left Questioning Their Existence
Sony Defense Force has been on a hiatus for a few months, but there’s a reason why we’ve been unable to deliver groundbreaking unbiased coverage for so long. That reason has something to do with a relatively unknown studio that resides in a far away land we like to call Amsterdam. For years, this studio has had to endure the scalding criticism of Xbox loyalists for the original KILLZONE failing to live up to its often-quoted ‘Halo Killer’ nickname.
While the status of being a ‘Halo Killer’ certainly isn’t an impressive accomplishment, we’re here to tell you that KILLZONE 2 not only destroys the HALO series in every single regard, but it will also make xbots question the very foundation of their pathetic existence. For years, there’s been a legion of Xombies following the lead of their master Microsoft, even if it meant having their poorly designed system fail on them twenty five times. And why? Becaude Microsoft’s system has a title called ‘Halo’ on it. Supposedly, the only first person shooter that matters to these savage fanatics. Ever since Halo 3’s release, there’s been a post-traumatic stress syndrome associated with the product; Halo 3 failed to deliver on all accounts and ultimately ended up being a very poorly received product in the hearts and minds of even faithful xbox fans. This resulted in the massive sales bitch-slapping the PS3 has given the Xbox 360 in 2008, despite the system costing $200-300 more than the competition.
We’ve spent the last few months extensively playtesting KILLZONE 2 at Guerrilla Games in Amsterdam in order to provide proper feedback for the final release, and it is unquestionably the greatest title in existence. The graphical fidelity of the product represents a true generational leap over Xbox 360 titles like Gears of War 2 and Halo 3. The graphics were so impressive that we were left wondering whether or not we were playing on Playstation 3 hardare rather than prototype Playstation 4 dev kits. Guerilla Games assured us that the game was playing on standard Playstation 3 systems and that no trickery was involved. The playstation 3’s power over the 360 was always readily apparent, but KILLZONE 2 makes the difference seem all the more astounding; like comparing the 360’s graphics to the Wii.
However, the good news is that KILLZONE 2 plays as good as it looks. While we can’t reveal much about it since we’re under strict NDA, it’s safe to say that the suicide rate is likely to increase in the coming months as Xbox fans question the meaning of their lives since the system they blindly support is an utter failure with a derivative, shoddily made title called Halo 3 failing to deliver. For many of these individuals, they will never be able to afford the quality of the Playstatation 3 and KILLZONE 2, which will ultimately lead them to suicide.
But for all of the Xbots out there that are feeling depressed that KILLZONE 2 rapes anything on the Xbox 360– fear not. You can still turn in your fanboy shirt at the door and purchase a reliable, quality system with true next generation graphics. Most doctors agree that the purchase of a Playstation 3 completely cures all illnesses associated with fanboys feeling depressed by purchasing an inferior Xbox 360. SDF supports life, and that’s why we support the Playstation 3. Can’t wait to see you guys in February.

December 1st, 2008 at 4:49 am
Hey as long as SDF supports life, I’m down with it. Becaude I can be!
December 1st, 2008 at 9:36 am
I like it how Lie is bolded in Believe. This shows how much I love my favorite piece of shit troll website aimed at PSTriple fanboys this site is.
And congrats on getting a new story done. We’ve been waiting ages to make fun of you again >_>
December 1st, 2008 at 10:13 am
Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Oh joy! Oh happiness! We rejoice and make merry in celebration of Sony Defense Force return!
December 1st, 2008 at 11:33 am
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“While the status of being a ‘Halo Killer’ certainly isn’t an impressive accomplishment”
That was a good line, SDF.
December 1st, 2008 at 11:53 am
Didn’t CoD4 knock Halo on it’s ass a while ago? Killzone 2 does look sharp though, can’t wait.
December 1st, 2008 at 4:47 pm
finally the best source for unbiased news is back with another great headline!!!!! i agree with this is every aspect and im sure that killzone 2 will destroy the horrid product of hype and nothing else that is halo 3 (although halo 3 already destroys itself it is so bad in every way)
December 1st, 2008 at 7:50 pm
It is great to see you guys back. Was surprised as you guys didn’t give your views on the recent last- attempt-to-save-its-ass price drop from MS. But then, I realized that you are true reporters. You talk about the achievements of our machine rather than xbots who just criticize anything but xbox.
December 1st, 2008 at 8:48 pm
Best video ever!
December 1st, 2008 at 10:41 pm
KZ2 looks impressive, but I gotta say that GOW2 was actually a lot more enjoyable then I expected.
I did expect shit, though.
All of this being said, I don’t know how this is gonna work so smoothly after official launch date.
December 2nd, 2008 at 3:19 am
“This resulted in the massive sales bitch-slapping the PS3 has given the Xbox 360 in 2008, despite the system costing $200-300 more than the competition.”
Yea, that’s why the Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 3:1 on Black Friday.

December 2nd, 2008 at 5:46 am
Well I think what killed halo 3 is the fact that they released it too early. an extra six months might have helped it.
December 2nd, 2008 at 1:06 pm
Hark! WQhat do I gaze my eyes upon? A new SDF ARTICLE? WOO! Time to tear it a new one!
December 2nd, 2008 at 1:10 pm
And it’s… Rather boring. Uninspired. No real kick. What the fuck, we’ve waited for THIS since august? You’ve even reused the old joke with the Halo 3 trailer, what the fuck?
Sigh… Why does my favourite troll-site fails to deliver again?
Killzone 2 still looks like rubbery gray lump of feces. Not a reason to buy PS3 at all. Why no article on LBP, anyway?
December 2nd, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Posted well over 36 hours ago, and eight comments? Well crap…
December 2nd, 2008 at 3:17 pm
I thought COD4 raised the bar more than Halo 3 did, I still look forward to KZ2 though. I just hope it won’t be as mediocre as the first one though.
December 2nd, 2008 at 9:51 pm
@InfraredChimera
It still looks like lumpy gray feces with nice animation.
Where did all the colour in the modern games go, damnit?
December 2nd, 2008 at 9:57 pm
as long as i have a new story i will be ok besides cod4 slapped halo 3.
on a side note when will we see the likes of paul and nextgenuser again?
December 3rd, 2008 at 5:42 am
Fail.
Really poor quality article, Hans. At least TRY to pretend you’re not some retarded Sony fanboy. Your other articles at least made me laugh for their sheer outrageousness, but to be honest, this is just kinda sad…
D- , please do better next time!
December 3rd, 2008 at 8:04 am
It’s a good thing you boneheads were in Amsterdam doing this article because you can use weed as the escape goat for another stupid story! And I doubt you even tried the game! Where are the screen shots? Where are the pics of you being at the developer? That’s right, you don’t have any because you were not there! Lying sacks of shit.
On a side note, 360s sold like crazy over the Black Friday weekend, with plenty of POS3s on the floor, being avoided!!!
Suck it down POS3 fanbots, you STILL SUCK!!!
December 3rd, 2008 at 8:50 am
Now now, 360… Keep in mind that they signed several studio NDAs, so they can’t actually show us anything about their trip. Likewise, Guerrilla Games can’t be seen as playing favorites, so they’ll deny any allegations of having the SDF visit their studio. It’s ok though, we know the SDF would have no reason to lie to us about details concerning the Sony brand name, so I’m sure they did actually go visit guerrilla, and they’re telling the complete, unbiased, and definitive truth…
December 3rd, 2008 at 11:05 am
@Dahak
While riding that cute pink unicorn of theirs!
December 3rd, 2008 at 12:58 pm
HEY, Wait! How did xbox360FTW get to say the S word?
I can’t even get to say F r o b l i n s without getting moderated.
December 3rd, 2008 at 1:30 pm
Wait, what S-word? Screen shots? I can see why it would be taboo around here, but still…
December 3rd, 2008 at 3:57 pm
LOL! “Becaude”
I love SDF
December 3rd, 2008 at 5:08 pm
What’s the name of that song?! :O
December 4th, 2008 at 7:14 am
Next year we PS3 owners have:
Killzone 2 (better than Halo 3, ’nuff said).
Resident Evil 5 (best version, all multi-platform Capcom games have been better experiences on PS3 plus free online and no red rings).
Also the xbox userbase is frankly a lower class of person (wealthier people buy PS3) and the subject matter present in Resident Evil 5 will no doubt bring out the worst in the xbox live community.
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Part Deux (best racing game sample ever)
Heavy Rain (new type of gameplay experience, best graphics ever)
White Knight Story (best next gen rpg ever)
Final Fantasy XIII (exclusive in selected territories and no RROD plague with blu-ray and Cell Broadband Engine. It also keeps the series inline with previous generations, Final Fantasy feels wrong outside of a Sony console)
Final Fantasy Versus XIII (lifetime global exclusive to PS3)
God of War 3 (the true owner of the GOW acronym and the best combat system in any game ever, with no Ninja Gaiden 2 power ranger character models)
Secret PS3 Game (unannounced top secret pendulum swinging ps3 game developed in secret by covert skunk works sony team in collaboration with various unknown 3rd party teams in secret).
And what do xbots have, Halo:ADHD (retarded whiny child edition).
Give it up xbots, it’s over.
YEAR OF PS3!!!
December 4th, 2008 at 8:49 am
@KILL ALL XBOTS
Wild Troll appears!
Goronian uses appreciate and laugh!
It’s super effective!
Wild Troll feints!
Victory!
Goronian is now level 42!
Everyone knows that the best game to be released next year is Brutal Legend, anyway.
And the best Final Fantasy game ever (Final Fantasy VI) was first released on Super Famicom in 1994. Swallow this.
December 4th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
And, correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t 2008 supposed to be the “year of the PS3″?
December 4th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
Yeah, I was gunna say… wasn’t every Final Fantasy up to VI on a Nintendo console? And haven’t they been releasing spinoffs on the Nintendo handhelds for awhile now too? In fact, if I’m doing my math right, it sounds like up to half of the Final Fantasy titles ever developed are on consoles other than the Sony brand…
To address again, haven’t we proven a couple of times over that Halo 3 is not, in fact, the hallmark of the 360? As for right now, CoD4 is holding first place on live charts, and Gears 2 is pretty high up there too. Why not pick on them, instead of just making vague comments? Don’t get me wrong, I know beating a dead horse is funny but…
…Oh wait, that’s right… beating a dead horse ISN’T funny!
December 4th, 2008 at 1:51 pm
Yawn…Surpassing a game that came out over a year ago isn’t a very impressive feat.
And wasn’t 2007 supposed to be year of the PS3?
December 4th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
In other news, Dead Rising: Chop till you drop is looking better with each new preview. PS3 still not getting their own version.
December 4th, 2008 at 5:28 pm
@Kill All Xbots
Being a fellow PS3 owner as well, I just got to say this; Just shut the fuck up and play games.
Christ I really don’t care if KZ2 is a better game than Halo 3 or not, as long as its fun. Hell I like R1 and R2 better than halo 2 and 3.
The GT series will always be a fine (if not one of the best) racing sim, but I perfer the Burnout series a helluva lot more and there more fun imo.
Heavy Rain looks rather interesting and if Indigo Prophecy (or Fahrenheit for my euro friends) is any indication, then sign me up. But for a adventure game you just can’t go wrong with the old LucasArts adventure games (Sam & Max Hit the Road FTW!!)
White Knight Story has got my interest big time and can’t wait for it to come out, as fas as “best rpg ever” who knows and certainly you don’t know either.
FFXIII I just lost interest in the whole series after 7, not only that I just don’t have the time to dedicate to a FF game anymore. Also the FF series would be technically at home on a nintendo console since the series started on the NES.
“God of War 3 (the true owner of the GOW acronym and the best combat system in any game ever, with no Ninja Gaiden 2 power ranger character models)”
Wow more concerned about acronyms, thats just kinda sad.
Also wasn’t Sony was supposed to reveal a bunch of new games (around 14 I heard) at TGS but failed at showing anything at all?
TRL, TRL, TRL is what trolls always use as a defense mechanism against the 360. Christ man you a better defense than that.
December 4th, 2008 at 7:24 pm
A hilarious journey through delusion from SDF, yet again. I guess desperation can cause those kinds of mental problems…
SDF may put on its rose-coloured glasses and report the PS3 bitch-slapping the 360, and maybe their delusional minds actually believe it, but the truth of the matter is:
XBox 360 outsells PS3 2:1
http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/10/01/ms-xbox-360-outselling-ps3-two-to-one/1
XBox 360 outsells PS3 3:1 on Black Friday:

… even on the PS3’s home-turf, the 360 is king:
http://www.edge-online.com/news/japan-xbox-360-outsells-ps3-25-1
HA HA!
December 4th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
Lets not forget the sales flop that LBP is.
Outsold by fucking BEN 10 on the Wii! LOL!!!!!!
It begins.
December 4th, 2008 at 10:26 pm
Well obviously you’re not a true ps3 owner otherwise you’d understand the brilliance of Ps3.
TRL = total request live?
And you’re right, man. I am a better defense than that.
let us look at history…
Final fantasy VII is released exclusively on PlayStation. It transforms Western perceptions of JRPGs and makes the genre mainstream. Singlehandedly. It also created a compilation with excellent titles such as Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core which features the BEST character ever in Final Fantasy, Cloud (and Zach).
Final Fantasy tactics is released, which to this day is the best Final Fantasy spin off and perhaps the best side step a major franchise has ever made.
All thanks to PlayStation… lets look at pre PlayStation, or as I like to call it, the dark ages.
Final Fantasy VI is retarded.
So, the PlayStation brand made Final Fantasy awesome unlike the retarded other Final Fantasys which sucked spastic balls.
You like Burnout… the PS3 version of Burnout Paradise is far superior…
And LittleBigPlanet is already widely recognised as a massive commercial and critical success by just about everyone except bitter Microsoft groupies that want innovation to fail. The mere suggestion that Wii shovel ware like Ben 10, Gingerbread Man or Sin and Punishment 2 would outsell LBP is laughable…
But xbots can look forward to Halo this and Halo that and none of them will look as good as Killzone 2 and they won’t play as well either. The music in that video makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, it makes you understand the importance of Killzone 2.
Year of PS3!!!
PS I suggest you try Final Fantasy VIII again as it is fucking brilliant when played on a hacked PSP. Hacking PSPs is questionable under Sony law (EULA) but as long as you pledge full support to the PSP over the still ridiculous child’s toy, the DS, then it is acceptable.
December 4th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
@KILL ALL XBOTS
You’re not even trying, bub… Calling Dirge Of Cerberus “excellent”, when even FFVII fans admit it’s a festering pile of sith, calling FFVI “retarded”, even though most FF fans are still torn up between this one and FFVII (and I’m not a FF fan, I’m more in a Megaten-Suikoden crowd). And as far as I know this video uses music from H3 commercial.
MODERATION.
December 4th, 2008 at 11:20 pm
I hate moderation here…
December 5th, 2008 at 12:53 am
“Final fantasy VII is released exclusively on PlayStation.”
*BUZZER*
Also on the PC.
“And LittleBigPlanet is already widely recognised as a massive commercial and critical success by just about everyone except bitter Microsoft groupies that want innovation to fail.”
*Buzzer*
It’s being slaughtered in sales by a cartoon tie-in game.
“I suggest you try Final Fantasy VIII again as it is fucking brilliant when played on a hacked PSP.” *Buzzer*
No thanks, that was also released on PC.
December 5th, 2008 at 1:03 am
Christmas 2006 was going to be the moment that the PS3 destroyed the 360…
2007 was supposed to be the year of the of the PS3…
2008 was also supposed to be the year of the of the PS3…
Still want to bet on 2009?
Metal Gear Solid was supposed to kill the 360, it couldn’t.
LBP was going to sell MILLIONS of copies, it hasn’t.
Resistance 2 was going to crush Gears 2…it didn’t.
Bioshock on the PS3 was supposed to be vastly superior, it wasn’t.
Wii = Number 1.
360 = Middle ground.
PS3 = Dead last.
December 5th, 2008 at 2:06 am
Guys, guys, please… this bickering is pointless… This could all be made very much simpler with this one statement.
DON’T FEED THE TROLLS!
Besides, trolls are pack animals… if another one hears the first troll bellowing, he may bring along the rest of the pack with him, and then we’ll never hear the end of FF7 praise…
December 5th, 2008 at 4:16 am
@Dahak
Can we all at least agree, that Dirge Of Cerberus was a festering pile of sith?
December 5th, 2008 at 4:19 am
Festering
December 5th, 2008 at 4:21 am
What WERE the dirty words in my posts, anyway? Stupid moderation…
December 5th, 2008 at 6:21 am
I own a PS3 and a 360, and previously a Wii.
Can I just ask you fanboys something: Isn’t the PS3 supposed to be a console? If it is, why hasn’t it got any games?
If somebody even begins to mention MGS4, they should kill themselves right there and then, because that came out eons ago, nobody cares anymore. It didn’t even have an hour of actual gameplay.
LBP is good, but not as phenomenal as it looked.
As for people who like Resistance and Resistance 2-Please go to your nearest game store, and buy ANY other FPS. You’ll have more fun.
Even on co-op, Resistance is one of the most bland, tedious and boring shooters I’ve ever played, and this is coming from someone who’s played Daikatana.
White Knight looks awesome, but that’s about it for the PS3 next year.
December 5th, 2008 at 7:02 am
Nothing about White Knight Chronicles convinces me it can beat the sheer win of the Mother series.
December 5th, 2008 at 2:08 pm
I like bickering with them.
Slapping them in the face with the hard facts is fun!
December 5th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
And sometimes hard penis!
December 5th, 2008 at 10:41 pm
@kill all xbots
u know Dirge of Cerberus sucked right?
December 6th, 2008 at 1:22 am
But dirge of carebearus had vincent in it! How could it not be cool!?
December 6th, 2008 at 1:39 am
@ kill all xbots
you know that FF started originally on the NES and MSX2 (from Microsoft), before Sony even had a console! and FF was always multiplatform, FF7 was released for both Windows and PS1, FF11 was released for PS2, X360 and Windows..
December 6th, 2008 at 2:45 am
Vincent sucks, he was a side-quest character. He had a pretty shitty story too. Neither he or Yuffie mattered to the main plot!
December 6th, 2008 at 5:46 am
@KillAllXbots
“PS I suggest you try Final Fantasy VIII again as it is fucking brilliant when played on a hacked PSP. Hacking PSPs is questionable under Sony law (EULA) but as long as you pledge full support to the PSP over the still ridiculous child’s toy, the DS, then it is acceptable.”
Actually, I’m fairly certain that’s downright illegal. It’s a breach of the EULA contract that you agreed to when you played the game. I don’t think that shunning the DS would stop you from getting sued. Also, FFIV is better than VIII.
December 6th, 2008 at 9:38 pm
@killallxbots
For anyone to call a Treasure game “shovelware” really has to be a ignorant dipshit. Sorry that there games are to over your head to enjoy them, maybe you should give Ikaruga, Gunstar Heroes, or Radiant Silvergun, or Bangai-O a try. Those are REAL games that take real skill to get through (something I’m betting you lack).
December 6th, 2008 at 11:12 pm
Oh look. An article on that sequel to that failure of a game. The first Killzone sucked. Only the most blind Sony fans can say anything different. To have any expectations on a sequel is hilarious at best.
But fear not. I’m sure that if they put in a lot of work into this game it might exceed the original, maybe even getting a, heh, 71 on Metacritic.
Also, my 360 (my first and only one) has yet to RROD. And that includes over a hundred some hours of playing GTA4, which SDF lied when it said that it would burn out a system in minutes.
SDF has also forgot to mention that the PS3′rd place is yet again living up to its name: http://vgchartz.com/hwcomps.php?cons1=Wii®1=All&cons2=PS3®2=All&cons3=X360®3=All&start=39453&end=39782
December 6th, 2008 at 11:37 pm
I also forgot to mention that I was selected to be part of the Playstation Home beta. My impressions are as follows: Sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks.
December 7th, 2008 at 4:17 am
erik, you are not funny.
December 7th, 2008 at 7:06 am
@erik
You know you just jinxed your 360 (sarcasm). KZ1 wasn’t that bad of a game, but since it came out around the launch of Halo 2 and it being billed as the “halo killer” it really was fucked from the get go. Don’t get me wrong the game was pretty mediocre, but damn the sound design for that game was top notch in my opinion.
December 7th, 2008 at 9:35 am
@InfraredChimera
I couldn’t even be arsed to finish it. Played a little split-screen with my buddy (one-on-one) and threw it at the bottom of the shelf. TS3 occupied my PS2 FPS needs.
December 7th, 2008 at 10:07 am
@InfaredChimera
Actually Halo 2 was the mediocre game. If KZ1 couldn’t beat that, then that is extremely sad. I’ll stick with Half-Life 2 and Left 4 Dead thank you very much.
December 7th, 2008 at 11:04 am
@erik
Meh, NOLF2 is still the greatest FPS ever made.
December 7th, 2008 at 12:51 pm
@Goronian
Never heard of it.
December 7th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
But don’t worry about SDF folks. Now that I myself own a PS3 I will be here to cut through their insipid lies and give you the real dirt on the PS3′rd place. Sorry “Kill All Xbots” but your lies no longer work on some of us. Now go play your inferior version of Fallout 3.
December 7th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
@erik
Can I have your PS3?
December 7th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
@Zoar
No, if you want one you are going to have to waste money on your own.
December 7th, 2008 at 8:03 pm
@erik
Goronian is talking about the PC FPS’s No One Lives Forever. They where based upon cheesy 60’s british spy movies, but the main character was a female spy named Kate Archer. They where funny as hell and very solid games, but of course never got the retail love they deserved.
December 8th, 2008 at 3:36 am
If the PS3 was a waste of money then why did you buy one?
December 8th, 2008 at 8:11 am
@Zoar
I vote “for shits and giggles”.
@InfraredChimera
Don’t forget the poodle-bomb from NOLF1 and FIGHTING FEMALE NINJAS IN THE TRAILER PARK IN THE MIDDLE OF A HURRICANE from NOLF2. Also cheesy Russian guy, with awesome quirks and surviviability. And also
*SPOILER!*
Random drunk you meet rough various levels of NOLF1 is actually the mastermind behind the whole thing.
I love this series.
December 8th, 2008 at 10:15 am
@Zoar
Because Nintendo has only tapped into a small fraction of the Wii’s potential, and it doesn’t look like they are going to tap said potential anywhere soon. So because of all the shovelware on Wii when it could have been so much more I sold that system. And as there are no systems this generation that can live up to the PS2, where it was the only system you needed to own. Neither the 360 or PS3 are really worth much to satisfy one by themselves.
But looking at the sales for the PS3 I am rather pleased. As I’ve said before and I’ll say again the only way for Sony to get their head out of their ass in time for the PS4 to live up to the PS2 was for the bloated, overpriced PS3 to fail.
So here is to Sony’s failure. Maybe one day I will be able to consider myself a Sony fan like in the days of the PS2.
December 8th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Come on “Kill All Xbots”, no reply on me calling out this monotone hued, waste of graphics, sequel to a game which could not even stand up to a shit game like Halo 2? I’m sure you can pull your tongue into your mouth long enough after spouting “der der graphix” long enough to form some kind of reply. Or maybe you are still too depressed that Bioshock for the PS3 offers nothing interesting compared to the 360 version. Or maybe you being a graphics whore are bawling about the graphical inferiority of the PS3 version of Fallout 3. Or maybe the fact that the 360 content for GTA4 is just on the horizon.
December 8th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
@erik
Whats really surprising though is how much people are spending on consoles this year. I let alone sold 5 PS3’s yesterday (I work for a game store that I can’t name, but are just about fucking everywhere, company policy), Wii’s are (still) flying off the shelfs, and the 360 Arcades we sell a lot of them (mostly because we push those on people rather than our refurbs.)
But definitly I agree with the PS3 is still way overpriced and it needs to drop at least $100 to get peoples attentions. Hell the BD players have dropped significantly so there’s no excuse for that anymore, the hardware inside has dropped in price to manufacture. Hell if I where sony a price cut is definitly needed in the spring and another in the fall of next year. Once its gets down to $300 (or less) then I can see sales jumping big time since it will be reaching that “$300, I can drop that much on a console” consumer base.
Anyway if you like strategy RPGS, I just picked up Disgaea 3 and loving it, its got a good sense of humor about itself and its surprising deep gameplay.
December 8th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
http://n4g.com/ClickOut.aspx?ObjID=243220
Resistance 2 is a sales flop, confirmed.
December 9th, 2008 at 2:49 am
@erik
Wow, that was a really thoughtful reply. I thought you were going to say something silly.
But why do you want PS3 to fail? They don’t have RROD. They don’t make you pay for online. They give you a Free Blu-ray Player. MS is the bad guy here, not Sony.
December 9th, 2008 at 3:39 am
@Zoar
And just what makes Microsoft the bad guy? They have put out a decent system at a fair price.
But the reason I want Sony to fail is so they can get their heads out of their asses in time to make the PS4 live up to the level of the PS2. Sony has given us an overpriced, feature bloated, all graphics and no substance beached whale of a system. At one time, during the days of the PS2, I have to say I was a rather rabid Sony fanboy. But I can’t bring myself to being a fan of the PS3. If they fail, they can learn their lesson.

@killallXbots: “All thanks to PlayStation… lets look at pre PlayStation, or as I like to call it, the dark ages.
Final Fantasy VI is retarded.
So, the PlayStation brand made Final Fantasy awesome unlike the retarded other Final Fantasys which sucked spastic balls.”
Somebody make this guy a writer on the site already!

I’m sorry to say that, but your beloved company is in serious trouble. Check this:

Sony’s a bunch of slanty japs, I don’t trust em!

@erik
While I agree at one time the console was overpriced but think on what you get; a bd/dvd player with upgradeable firmware, internet browser, swapable hdd that doesn’t require you to buy the first party brand (ie MS), and for shit sakes you can install a OS and print shit from it.
So sure for $400 it may seem bloated, but for fucks sake at least its there even if you don’t use it, and honestly I was way MORE impressed with it can do more than I was with my 360.
@Zoar
The only people think there is “bad guys” in the so called “console wars” are idiots.
You ain’t a idiot are you?

@InfaredChimera
That stuff you mentioned is why I called it a feature bloated beached whale.
December 9th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
@InfraredChimera Don’t be rude. Microsoft isn’t evil, but their hardware failure is an embarrassment to gamers everywhere:
“Look at that addicted gamer sending his 8th Xbox for repair! He’s willing to do anything for his games, even wait for 2 weeks just for his repaired console to come back like a good dog. Even when it eats his discs, he still loves his xbox. And they say Cocaine is addictive”
And why did Microsoft do this? So they can get the jump on Sony by a year.
And the worst Part? People are still complaining that PS3 is the worst console out of the big 3. Even after everything Microsoft did to them.
Sony is having some big problems right now with their machine (long story), that it might make them reconsider the PS4.

I was going to reply, but my post got moderated.
I guess SDF doesn’t like people defending Sony.
December 10th, 2008 at 6:33 am
If anything you got to give SDF credit for the Vid they made for this article. Im pretty impressed by it tbh. As Sony are nutorious for stealing other peoples work, im quite amazed they havent stole this vid and put it on TV claiming it’s thier vid.

@Zoar
And what about the addicted Sony gamer dishing out $400-$500 dollars for a system? Really that is more deplorable than waiting for a free repair.

@Zoar
Will you shut up at RROD already? It’s barely existent now.
Not noly that, but most PS3’s exclusive Big Name Oh God Almighty titles turned out to be either everage or outright dissapointments. At least 360 has some exclusives to be proud of.
