So anyone who claims the PS3 won this Christmas are sadly mistaken."

I believe you are confusing "mistaken" with "lying".

@The other big story coming out of the NPDs this month is the fact that Killzone 2 sold a record breaking 323,000 units in just two days of sales. Amazing.

Have you seen the way KZ2 stacks up against Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 when comparing the first week?

Hell, lets throw in Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTA4 (PS3) for good measure

Killzone 2 is doing AWFUL in comparison. What records are you referring to?

Edit from my previous post:

After looking at more sales figures, I think I see why they are referring to the PS3 as winning the month. If you look at total sales globally from 3 years, 4 months from their launch, the PS3 technically did sell faster (17,315,036 360's from November 5th, 2005 to March 15th, 2008 vs. 21,222,651 PS3's from November 4th, 2006 to March 14th, 2009).

Also, Compare February 2009's PS3 sales to February 2008's 360 sales (giving both systems an equal time frame), the PS3 leads the 360 819,411 to 759,080 so they are TECHNICALLY right. The 360 still leads the PS3 by quite a bit (29,379,635 to 21,222,651) and has continually lead all Christmas season as well (I was too lazy to go back to before November). Here are the breakdowns since November. It's PS3/360

January (942,292/1,201,011)
December (2.392,945/3,990,389)
November (1,244,674/1,950,071)

So anyone who claims the PS3 won this Christmas are sadly mistaken.

I'd love to see the source data for that graph (which was done in Excel).

Click the link erik posted. It didn't work the way he expected it, but put in the date ranges of January 31st, 2009 to February 28th, 2009 (The closest you can get to just February sales). According to that site, TOTAL sales (globally), 819,411 PS3's vs. 1,028,949 360's. That is legitimate figures from real sources. Where are you getting the figures for this chart you posted?

Every console of current technology has its possible "error codes", the PS3 has plenty of them. And they would be even more common if PS3s would be turned on more.
