And yes I am damn picky and proud of it. I am not just going to accept any shit that rolls my way. So is your issue that I have some standards?

“Well that was really the only point you could be attempting to make. So if that wasn’t your point then you never had one.”
*laughs*
How about this?
You are a pretentious and picky bitch who expects too much from games.
Would that count as a point?

I didn’t refresh this page enough so I didn’t see your comment there :/

Well, if you truly enjoy playing games then you can probably enjoy games more if you… played more games for a longer period of time…

No. Just no. I am not going to lower my standards. I am not going to punish myself by playing a game I know I hate longer. I am not going to magically like a game in the third hour after despising it for the first two. And I don’t see any reason why I would put myself through those two hours in the first place.
You say I am picky, you are right. But I prefer to call it standards.

“I am not going to lower my standards.”
You’re a weird boy. Gaming is a hobby. There is no way you can “lower your standards” by playing a fucking game. Am I lowering my standards by playing Overlord for 1.5 hours? Please clear your head.

I think that’s a lie. You said that you didn’t even play past Halo 3′s second level. Why should I believe this insane and outlandish statement that only a loony could make? Boy, you take this hobby waaaaaaaaaaaaay to seriously.

Wrong. There is a lot of crap out there. If you want to play it then more power to you. I will not. Even those with hobbies can have standards. You know coin collectors are only interested in certain coins. And will generally not give a shit about the random loose change in your pockets.

I never said I never played past Halo 3′s second level. I never played Halo 3. I did play the original and never played past it’s second level. But regardless I don’t see why stopping such a game on the second level should be considered such an impossible feat.

Lowering your standards means to do something terrible to ruin your image. Your making it sound like it’s taboo to play something that is not perfect. And I’m fully aware of crap out there. For instance, I hate Team Fortress 2 and Supreme Commander. Do you see me telling people that it is disgraceful to play those kinds of games? No.
And your “coin collector” example is stupid. You see, coin collectors are different from gamers. They collect coins. It’s really a ludicrous hobby. Gaming is different. Gamers don’t collect games and polish them everyday and display them. Gamers don’t come off as some Nazi snob who thinks that elitism and perfection matters the most.

No standards and image don’t have anything to do with one another at all. Image is dependent on how others perceive you. Standards are a more personal thing. I don’t give a fuck about what other people think of me. But even though I don’t give a shit about other people it doesn’t mean that I am going to play and like every single fucking thing out there.
I will dislike some things. I won’t try other things. Hence, standards. You likely have standards also, you just don’t know it.
Answer me this: Would you eat anything put on your plate without question? And if your answer is no does this have to do with what others think of you, or is it personal because of something being disgusting/toxic?

Here is a standard that no one can disagree with; aslong the game offers a bit of fun, then mission accomplished.
