Fail. The first Forza doesn’t look as good as any of the “Forza 1″ shots you’ve posted. I’m guessing the so-called Forza 1 shots are from a pre-build, or a beta of F3.
Did you even look at the pictures you posted? If so, then I think you need a new monitor. There is a distinct difference in those pics. The level of detail is definitely higher. For example, in the first set, you can’t see much detail inside the cockpit, but in the second, you can see damn near everything. The ground is also a good example. You can see more detail in the second shots. The tire marks, the motion blur (which is extremely important to create a sense of speed), background terrain, all are greatly improved.
Maybe PS3 players/fans don’t care about the “details”, which is why you don’t see the differences in the images. If so, then that’s really sad, because the details are what really makes the difference in experience. But I guess that good news for Sony, because they don’t have to try so hard to please their fans.
Also…do you find it strange that Sony even needs a “Defense Force”? I do. I think that alone speaks volumes.
I also think you would serve your master better if you focused on what Sony does well (whatever that is to you), instead of trying to tear down the competition. You ALWAYS get better results (meaning it’s easier) when you spend your time building something up, instead of trying to tear something down. Post like these don’t do ANYTHING to hurt the Xbox. Xbox fans only read this crap for the laugh. It’s funny and it makes PS3 fans appear scared and/or threatened.
You really need to rethink your strategy guys. This site is one big FAIL for Sony.

The bug wasn’t really a Sony oversight. It was a problem in the handling of a leap year within some ARM processor within the fat PS3. Same thing happened to some Zunes a little while back.

Because it is a step towards being a multimedia, uberwreck-crosscompatible nightmare like the PS3 where you can connect your fucking toaster to it and it will be recognized. Since it looks like that MS is pulling out of the memory card business they still need a solution for people who want to bring there gamertag (which is easier and takes alot less time than revcovering it from live) or don’t have the funds for a harddrive at the moment.
Also there highest memory card capacity is 512mb, which is good for about nothing (unless you wanna put a bunch of arcade games that don’t take up shit for space). Also the rumored 360 slim motherboard doesn’t even look like it has the hardware for the memory cards (in a effort to cut costs) so this might be for more the people who buy the “slim” rather for people who own a fat.
So in all that said and done, it appears that MS is changing a existing feature for one more practical.

Just like when I said that I wouldn’t like Killzone 2, or Uncharted 2 before I played them I had already made my decision. The Andrew Ryan reference wasn’t intentional. And yes I did play and beat Bioshock 2. The gameplay offers up more variety in play styles than the previous game. But, other than that the story is sort of lacking. Dr. Lamb is a sort of weak antagonist compared to either Andrew Ryan or Fontaine. All of the time she only irritated me only because she constantly droned on. Ryan and Fontaine on the other hand drew my ire.
Beyond that even Rapture it’s self has lost a good amount of it’s luster. In the original you got the feeling of “What bizzaro world have I stepped into?” As where this time it is a ho-hum “Water, splicers, Big Daddies, check” And the strange becoming commonplace is the death knell of such an atmospheric game.

2 bad endings and 2 good endings are in Bioshock 2. The ending I got is considered to be a “good” ending because of the tone on the big sisters voice (which I can’t remember her name) was sympathetic rather than filled with anger.

Okay, so tell me what console Valkryia Chronicles is on. If the answer is the PS3 then I won’t like it, end of story. What kind of game it is or who published/developed the game is a moot point when compared to that.

I still say it would be pretty awesome if someone switched the PS3 controller with a 360 controller and got Erik to actually enjoy a PS3 game (wouldn’t be hard, there are some awesome games there). Once it was revealed that he was playing a PS3 all along, the outcome could be pretty epic. Head exploding anyone? We know the game quality isn’t what he hates, just the platform its on.

I hate the PS3. I hate the PS3′s games. I hate all of the current PS3 games. I hate all the future PS3 games. I hate even the PS3 games which will come down the road which have not even been conceived of yet. If a game is a multiplatform release I will hate the PS3 version. I hate the PSN games. I will hate the Playstation Move games. I hate PS3 games that are in a series of games which I enjoyed their predecessors on earlier and surperior Playstation consoles. Whenever I have reached for any box of pancake mix(PS3), up to and including the present, I can clearly see the nausea producing mold that grows on it(the reasons I hated the PS3 have not gone away. So comparing it to one box of pancake mix from over a decade ago isn’t a very fitting comparison.)

It has games that I love, has features I want (and some I don’t like audio over hdmi but so does the Wii and the 360), I got mine after the butthurt price was over, and Blu-Ray really compliments my 1080p TV. It may not get as much game time as my 360, but for its intended purpose (after Sony pulled their ego out of their asses), it does its job well. You just like holding onto that 2006 hatred you had towards it because its fun to watch people get fired up over holding a (justified) grudge that should have been let go long ago.

I go months at a time without turning on my PS3. Therefore not using it is already a given. So since that was already in effect before your suggestion putting it into effect (or rather continuing) after your suggestion will not solve anything. The fact remains it is there, and it infuriates me.

I miss when there were more people here and you were able to have relatively normal conversations (when anti-PS3 comments made sense and were legitimate). I typically check back every few days unless there is an active conversation. I have a new job, so I don’t have as much downtime as I did at my last job, so I cant check as often as I used to.

The only thing I regret is that I don’t hate the PS3 enough. As far as gas prices go, I already have to pay $10 a day to get to work and back. So whatever gas prices are, I just sort of take it in stride. As far as Presidents go, I’ve not liked any of the last few guys or last few candidates, so really I don’t worry about that either.

Especially now that the price is a mere $50 more than the 360 and considering that you get not only a game system with lots of AAA games, but you also get a blu-ray player, free online, a web browser, wi-fi, and a generally robust hard drive it would be insane not to spend that extra $50. I mean considering that for that you get a system with a FAR FAR less chance of breaking down than the 360.
And now with games such as the epic Uncharted 2, the challenging and immersive Demon’s Souls, or the continuation of the phenomenal God of War series no one can make the claim that the PS3 no longer has any good games.
So it won’t let my post through. So I’ll sum it up: Between free online, high-def movies, and a robust lineup of AAA games, the PS3 is worth every penny of the measly extra $50 that it now costs compared to the 360.

Lets see. Starting from the top on metacritic’s PS3 games the first Sony exclusive I can see is Uncharted 2. Ugh, where to start. Well I guess first and foremost the most glaring and obvious thing that is wrong with this game is the characters and story. You play as Nathen Drake, a boring and smarmy criminal with a 2D personality who is betrayed by his gay love interest while trying to find some ships full of gold or something. The story never really develops beyond that point.
The game mostly consists of tedious gun fights that are broken up only by insultingly easy to solve but still time consuming puzzles and climbing sections that require no skill due to the simplified control scheme.
Save yourself some trouble folks. Leave Manraider in the bargain bin and just pick up one of the many many many games in the Tomb Raider series.
Next up on the list Little Big Planet. Ah yes, as a game I actually own I am familiar with this turd very very well. There isn’t really much to say about it. Take all of the evolution that platformers have gone through in, oh, a little under three decades and strip it away to the barest of bones. Then on top of that add a simplistic level creation program to create your own platform-evolution-killing levels and unleash it upon the absolutely daft and imagination free hordes of mindless Sony knob gobblers.
But anyways, Gaytee should be thanking me. If it wasn’t for trying to elude being pointed out as a troll by trying to paint me as a troll his posts would consist of boring dreck and drivel like:

My new work shift at my new job (in a new city!) sucks, 1pm to 11pm Wednesday to Saturday, but my gf who all but lives with me plays that game CONSTANTLY throughout the day (beat it and is half way through the game in Insane difficulty). She uses my gamertag because the game is locked to my account, and is down to play too if it supports a split between local and online multiplayer.
Also, do you or InfraredChimera have Fat Princess on the PS3? I am tempted to buy it myself. I like how Sony doesn’t do the damn point system, unlike MS and Nintendo.

Uncharted 2 is a good game. It was stated as such on the VGA awards. It is a game which comes on Blu-Ray. It is a game that has a story as well as characters. One of these characters named Nathan Drake, whom I’m told is a likable character. The game has guns and things to shoot the guns at. There is also climbing sections and puzzle sections. Sometimes at the same time. All of this takes place over a series of levels. The levels taking place in places such as town, mountains, jungles, and trains.
All of this makes this a great game. 70/10

No games, and MAG has really sucked lately, AND NO ONE USES A DAMNED HEADSET! Another plus for xbox, since you don’t have to deal with friggin bluetooth, what a frakin pain.

so what is your type of game? I dont think its too big of a stretch to nominate the uncharted series as some of the best action/adventure games of this gen, yet you hate them. So what types of games do you like? Maybe it would make sense to others that you cant find 1 game on the PS3 likable.

In what way do mean that? If you mean genre then I would have to say many kinds. Mostly shooters and RPGs. But I also like RTS games as well as puzzle games.
If you mean specific games then I would say the more recent ones would be: Bioshock, Portal, Half-Life 2, , GTA4, and Arkham Asylum. But those are just off the top of my head and there are many more.
RPGs? Well i will give you that one. Aside from Demons Souls i cant think of any other AAA rpg on the ps3. It seems all the rpgs this gen seem to be on the 360. RTS games should only be on a PC no exceptions. I dont see where i could play one with a controller. Puzzle games are long since dead unfortunately. The only puzzle games i see are on portable gaming devices. What do you think of natal? Microsoft has done alot to keep that quiet. The only thing we have seen for it is that ball game. I sure hope thats not all MS plans to give us as a incentive to purchase it.
I hated Demons Souls.
But really as far as game genres go, I like pretty much everything except for sports and racing.
As far as Natal, I think that it is a nice idea. But I’m going to adopt cautious optimism to see if the game developers can actually do anything worthwhile with it.

If you are still reading here I am still curious to where you were going with asking me what sorts of games I like. If you were making a point I must have overlooked it.
If you were trying to make the point that the PS3 has genres that I like my only response is: Of course. The PS3 has sandbox action games, RPGs, shooters, etc. I like nearly all genres except racing and sports, and I even have exceptions with those two genres in the past.
So it comes down to this: Yes, the PS3 has games that I should, theoretically speaking, like. But in theory and in practice are two different things. So in theory I should like an action game such as Uncharted 2, since I have liked similar games in the past. But in practice it is on the PS3, therefore I don’t like it.
Its not really that difficult to understand. I don’t like the PS3. I was really excited when I first heard it was coming out. But then I saw the price and from that point on I decided to hate all PS3 games. This was months before it came out.
True, I did have a moment of weakness where my desire to play some of the games and become unbiased and judge all three systems in an equal manner over rode my convictions. But I realized how embarrassing that would be to be so weak to let my petty wants and desires to over ride my convictions.
So I don’t care what game reviewers, the gaming public, or even what I thought about Uncharted 2, its on the PS3, so I hate it.
and a TL;DR
If a game is on the PS3 I hate it because it is on the PS3.

I was reading earlier regarding the class action lawsuit against Sony regarding the removal of the Install other OS feature. Apparently if you bought your PS3 before a certain date you can get a partial refund. So this got me thinking. Even if I could prove that I bought my PS3 before that date (I don’t hold onto receipts indefinitely) I probably still wouldn’t do it. I fully support them removing a feature from the feature bloated carcass that is their system. Hell, I feel like I should be sending them money for removing it.
Don’t get me wrong though. I do support this improvement, but it isn’t enough to make me like the system. I will still hate any game that comes out on it for the sole reason that it is on the PS3.
In fact as penance for the time that I was “unbiased” towards the PS3 I feel that I need to hate it more than I already do.

1. Killzone 1 was a mediocre game at best (and I have said that shit for the longest time already).
2. Killzone 2 is a deifinte improvement and a better game nonetheless, and since you don’t like Killzone 2 then by all regards its looking like KZ3 is going to be more of the same (with jetpacks).
3. Besides the universe being the same in Killzone and Killzone 2, otherwise KZ2 was so different in the way it played and what it presented, a honest play of the game without judging the previous entry was essential to giving that game a fair shake.
3. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is fucking amazing (thats not a statement, thats a fact).

Killzone 1 was a bad game on a good system. Killzone 2 is a bad game on a bad system. Improvement? I think not. If anything Killzone 1 > Killzone 2. You have to bear in mind that Kilzone 1 wasn’t on the PS3.
