Unless Natal Kinect has the ability to warp space and time it’s safe to say that many of the ‘live demos’ shown at Microsoft’s conference were indeed faked.
Overall SDF’s unbiased impressions of the MS conference were of boredom and disappointment. Between the downgraded visuals of Gears of War 3 and Halo: Reach, to their Wii-too Kinect demos we can’t say we are confident in the 360′s future. Perhaps next time they attempt to ‘revolutionize’ the gaming industry they shouldn’t copy games that were released in 2006. Embarrassing MS.
Anyone with a sixteenth of a brain (IE Gayteen and donutboy) can tell that the PS3 Move is much more of a Wii-too than Kinect.
Also you forgot to mention the no longer exclusive Metal Gear game. Though that falls under the “2006 games”, though if it was exclusive you would forget all about that and ejaculate all over Raiden’s face wouldn’t you?
And looking at this GIF I’m having a difficult time seeing just what evidence that it was faked. Any difference (and there seems to be very little) of the movement between his hand and the icon seems just to be because you are looking at him in an odd angle. But maybe if SDF showed videos and not this GIF kick they have been on you would be able to tell one way or another.
ROFL! Playstation Plus. $49.99 for a “premium” membership to the Playstation Network. How much you wanna bet that new games that come out will eventually require Premium subscriptions to play online? It will eventually be like XBL, i’m sure.
What I want to know is how long until SDF, a long time hater of paid online services, starts fellating Sony’s pay-to-suck johnson?
I can already see how Playstation Plus is going to pan out. The same way all once-free services that gain a premium tier go. Things will be all fine and dandy and they will add nice perks to the premium tier subscribers. But that’s just the beginning.
Eventually, they will add a special “Premium” network where you get faster connections and such to the PSN for lower latency gaming. Games will have to be capable of connecting to this separate network and will advertise “PSN Premium Gaming Arena” compatible. OK, fair enough. But then after a while, newer games will ONLY be compatible with the PSN Premium Gaming Arena”, thus requiring the premium subscription. Think about how Nintendo started with games being enhanced by the memory expansion in the N64 days with games like Perfect Dark and Rogue Squadron, but then started REQUIRING it with games like Majora’s Mask and DK 64. Only this time, you have to keep buying a new memory expansion every year.
This is just PURE speculation, but this is how most websites have handled transitioning. Remember when IGN went with a premium tier? They said “everything that was free will remain free”, but they found loopholes. They advertised full graphic game guides to premium subscribers, but the old guides would still be free. Then they discontinued the old guides and made you wait months before the graphical guides became free. Same thing. Sound possible?
I don’t care about erik’s opinion, it will just be dumb and hate filled. But he doesn’t want me responding to his posts, right? I wonder if he will try to provoke me into a debate with me (that he doesn’t want apparently) by saying something that will make this whole PSN rant sound fanboyish)
Of course my opinion will be filled with hate, duh. I hate the PS3. This isn’t fanboyism based on bias towards the 360, it’s hateboyism based on hate of the PS3.

Out of the three console manufactures press confrences, I can safely say I think Nintendo just butt raped both MS and Sony. For once in the time I have had my Wii, I just can’t wait to play the games they showed for it, and I also see alot of day one purchases as well (too be fair though, Gears 3 and InFamous 2 look like a good bit of fun).
Then there is the 3DS, Sony shouldn’t even fucking release a PSP2 in my opinion.

But you are probably just pissy that I didn’t draw you into an argument about PSN like you mentioned, thus proving you wrong. Instead I will just point out that stating that my opinion would be hateful towards the PS3 is a long bygone conclusion and needs no mentioning.

If my dog,cat,kid or anyone else walks in front of the SCREEN or even NEAR the camera…or I even sneeze,move wrong,go to eat or anything else I’ll end up fast forwarding,stopping and shutting off my xbox during a movie. Or during a game vica versa.
You notice that all of these “people” that are showing it off have to be “VERY” still and barely even move to show it off, I mean…look at em…dead still because they know there log of shit is flawed.
They couldn’t even have a real demonstration of it at E3, they had a bunch of tools sitting behind glass running around like buttnuts instead. While Sony had the MOVE right up ,front and center ready to be tried out,games and all.
