The Slim Effect™ has taken the United States by storm. The new PS3 Slim is selling out nationwide, Uncharted 2 is topping every sales chart there is and 360 is losing major momentum going into the fourth quarter.
Not only is Halo 2.5: ODST already being discounted $10 but Forza 2.5 has failed to gain any momentum despite being weeks away from release and the 360 Elite Modern Warfare 2 “meh-gaton” seems to be a complete failure.

Uncharted 2 has toppled Halo 3: ODST in a U.S. sales chart and the game isn’t even out yet. Wii is enjoying a temporary sales boost due to Amazon practically giving them away at this point ($50 off in addition to the $50 price cut).
It’s nice to see a well reviewed game destroy a rehashed expansion pack.
This is what PS3 owners will experience upon opening Killzone 2. The greatest video game… no, the greatest piece of art the world has ever seen. Bravo Sony, bravo.
So impressed by the demo there are many fans (like the one shown above) that are outright demanding the game be released right now. This is an unprecendented moment in the history of gaming. There has never been a better time to be a PS3 owner. It has truly begun.
What seems to be Microsoft’s newest ad campaign against the SDF has recently been spotted on Youtube. It seems the recent layoffs at MS has effected their viral marketing campaign budget.
